I'm just curious what to think about Ricco's numbers. He's all blues and greens... his 14 day avg is in the 120s now. He hasn't had insulin in 2 weeks. I'm feeding Friskies and Fancy Feast to keep up some variety, with a little kibble as I have a few stubborn holdouts. I can't say Ricco never gets kibble but thankfully he seems to prefer the wet now. He has become even more playful than he was before diagnosis. I've read a normal glucose for a cat can be 150 or 170, depending on the article.

With a pet meter, the range is more like from 75/80 to 120/150. With a human meter, it's lower. In this post it says "Remission is achieved when kitty can go 14 days without insulin while maintaining normal blood glucose values under 100 overall. Most will stay in the 50 - 80mg/dL range. Although, some will occasionally experience BG numbers up to 120 mg/dL." http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/...ng-reductions-and-starting-otj-trials.150160/

Looks like he is still a little high at times. Maybe it's the kibble?
