I got a new pen in the mail just now. It wasn't ice packed or anything and it's been super warm last few days. 80's... The pen itself didn't feel hot but definitely not cool. Will it still be ok?

It should be fine, but you may find it could lose its effectiveness quicker. When I receieved my last pack of Lantus, it was room temp. It seems to still be fine! It is indeed to last 28 days at room temp for humans.

I agree it should be fine. Angel, get down off those higher floors please. If you don't see green in the next cycle or so it's time to increase.

I'm sure it's fine, as well. I did make a mistake and leave my cartridge out for over 3 hours (26 Aug), and the next few days I couldn't get her out of the blacks, even with the dose increase. We increased again and I tried a new cartridge, and she came down into nice numbers and even earned a reduction after two days. I have no idea which made the difference: the new cartridge or the dose increase, though! I think I was unusual, though, as Lantus can be used at room temp for 28 days but will last longer if refrigerated. But I'd listen to the experienced voices here and see how the numbers go and then ask for advice if you think there might be some sort of connection. :-)

You don't think she's bouncing? I don't understand her numbers lately.
Looks like she tried to clear the bounce on PM cycle of 9/19 but didn't make it back to green (took about 3 cycles). She may be bouncing a wee bit but it's ok to increase during the bounce just not a good idea on a bounce clearing cycle. The most I'd hold this dose is 8-10 cycles from those greens...tonight is cycle 7.

Take a look at post 17 here Myths Debunked which is found in there Where Can I Find. It talks about increasing during a bounce.
