For once you have a bounce when you need one. You can go out without worrying. I hope she doesn't bounce too long.
She has always been the mind reader of my emotions, unlike the other 2 I had. I think she is doing her part to help me get through this. Thanks Mocha. After late this afternoon, I would welcome a yellow though!

Good luck with your closing and this is one time a bounce is comforting (well....you know what I mean). Can you please tell me what the "purple/blue-ish" column of numbers represent on your spreadsheet just to the left of the comment section? Are you averaging the days' BG levels? Just curious.

AGGRESSION AND HIGH GLUCOSE?!?!

I have seen this several times, was stopped for awhile and today was horrible! It seems the higher the sugar the more the meltdown. Instead of an accident on the plastic near the litter, she has gone 2x on the carpet, outside the plastic.

But, worse than that because someone will rip out the carpet when we put on the market, is this meltdown with the other cat. She goes into this panic attack almost. Heavy huffing, chest puffing.....nasty hissing and miserable growling. When I see the meltdown, I try to keep her away from the 2nd subdued cat, because that cat has nervous issues and cowers and hair rips. In seperation, I was bit almost to bleed by Mocha. Nasting smacking at me, growling at me and hissing uncontrollably. I put her in a bathroom with me and tried to let her calm. Then I left her for about 10 minutes for her to settle.

Anyone else gone thru this? I don't think the second cat even matters. She was like this early on without diabetes. But, there is an anger/aggression connection with inflated sugar for her at least. I put the anxiety rescue or whatever it is called on her coat a drop. Didn't help the 1st time, maybe it did today. Oh my! The anger of a cat is a scary thing!

I saw this on someone else's spreadsheet. Yes, it is an average. I know it is not that helpful on the days when I don't have as much testing. But, just another way for me to eye the data. I know it does not mean much but good for my brain to keep active since I can't work and it took some work to figure out to have it calculate for me.

Congrats on the closing. That sure is odd behavior. I think she must not feel well. Max growled at me a couple times when he was low but I never saw much of a reaction to higher numbers.

Actually I think it's a great idea! Doodles frutosime test last week revealed his BG average for the prior 3 weeks was 392!!!

How was it if you do week to week comparisons? Probably even better? :cat: It helps my brain because when I see the black I feel like it must be bad overall but in an average that self calculates, it can still turn out to be lower than prior weeks. And, I feel encouraged despite the black. I was going to RANK each week and then I thought I had lost my brain!;)

Maybe the pre-move is beginning to aggravate? She never seemed bothered when we were surrounded in boxes and she actually went to play once in one. But, now the boxes are out of sight in the garage and this odd behavior.

THANKFULLY the RELIEF REMEDY is worth the money. This time around it did indeed sweeten this onion back to herself. Glad for those that suggested it for moving as I have already used it sparingly on both. The nervous kitty is better right away. I probably need to buy some stock in it. May be a long standing product. The felliway is good but it does not "follow them around!":woot:

When she was low, she just becomes really sleepy. So, much harder to observe since she loves to sleep anyhow. Full-time job.

Haven't experienced it with a cat, but certainly diabetic beans can get very aggressive if they have high BG.

I'm a data/ statistical driven person from my 20 years of work too. Certainly can't hurt!

I wish I had tested Snick when she had her epic meltdown at my mom's during Halloween. Would have been some good data. But she didn't want to be on the same planet as us at that moment.

I haven't seen anyone else complain of their cat being aggressive with high numbers. But I'm confused because it sounds like it's your other cat, not Mocha, that's upset when Mocha has high numbers? Is that what you're saying? Or is Mocha being aggressive?

You could use the Rescue Remedy on all of your cats and see how they do. I'd give just a bite of food with the dose on it so you know they'll eat it. One of my cats gets calm enough with just one drop, Punkin took a whole dropperful although he was very mellow already. Maybe yours are worked up because of the moving/packing hubbub.

Sorry if not clear. No, it is Mocha who instigates. Every day for a few weeks, she goes right up to Latte (minding her business and just lying on the carpet) and gets in her face with this combative stance an she hits her a few times in the face. If I see it coming, I break it up. But, our house has 3 levels and I just can't always intervene. Sometimes I hear the growling and come and find this smackdown. I wish it would just cease. She will even approach Latte in the cat house, when she is snuggled to sleep and jump on the back of the couch and just smack her. When her numbers are good, I don't see that.

I believe that it is glucose related with just a lack of well being when it is sky high. There is urination on the carpet, and begging for food and general growling, and hissing. I think that there is a food jealousy against Latte. She wants to have her food and when glucose is high, she particularly will be in Latte's face looking for left overs from her cardboard box that Latte eats in to have some protection. I always remove it before Mocha can get there but sometimes Latte is still in the box.

I do think the Rescue Remedy is by far the best. I used it twice the day that she was just really melting down and had to be removed for quiet in a bathroom. I tried to calm her there but she was too aggressive to me, so I had to put on the remedy and leave her a short while. Someone suggested a drop on their coat and that is what I have done with both. Putting stuff in the water has not worked before (Good Cat). It would seem to be more long lasting if it follows them around. This confrontation started before the packing, so it likely did not help but not the cause. The things they like are still in the same place and they are getting attention as we are home all day, unlike those with full-time jobs. I hope it passes. For both their sake and mine.
