I have googled and googled for diagram for giving IM injections and can't find what i need to help me.
Does anyone know where to find just a plain diagram?
Or maybe just where to give the shot.
I'm afraid i will hit the kidneys or sciatic nerve.

Vet told me to give along the side of the spine but i can't feel the muscle there. He had me to
feel that area for the muscle and i could not feel it.

Vet is ready for me to do the injections at home. (once a week)

Fluffy gets PolyGlycan IM once a week and it has to be IM.
    thanks...

When I first had to give Adequan injections they were supposed to be in the muscle. So I looked up feline musculature pictures, which helped. Here is one on this page: http://www.pictures-of-kittens-and-cats.com/feline/anatomy You can click on it to make it in a larger pop-up window. This shows the big back muscle where your vet instructed you to give shot.

Thanks Vicky! Just what i need! I should be able to put the needle in that big muscle.

Larry, for some reason i was unable to view the pictures. The site came up
but no pictures. Thanks for responding.

You have to click on one of the text topics...that takes you to the photo for that topic.

Warning: Graphic photos of cat anatomy...may be upsetting.

The photos are sure better than really dissecting up a kitty like I did in school a few years ago.

That's what i did Larry. I clicked on every text topic and all that came up was a square box
with an X at the top. May be my computer.
