    Hi,

I am seeking confirmation (or not!) that 2 units of ProZinc using a U40 syringe converts to 5 units of ProZinc in a U-100 syringe. We just switched per new vet from Novolin to ProZinc, but I hate the U40 syringe. If converted accurately, there is no danger using the U-100 syringe, correct?

I have seen the syringe conversion charts on this forum, but I am still nervous not strictly following the vet's instructions...

Thank you for your input, and thank you for this forum.

That sounds correct to me: 2U of ProZinc on a U40 scale (40U/mL) is 2/40 mL, same as 5/100 mL, so on a U100 (100U/mL) syringe it would be 5U.

That was just calculated on-the-fly, but this chart: http://www.felinediabetes.com/insulin-conversions.htm agrees with you as well, so there's some independent reasoning.
