petroleum jelly

    Is petroleum jelly, safe for cats to eat?

    They can eat a little to help with hairballs. Just make sure it does not have other ingredients that they don't need to eat!

    It's fine - it's actually the base of almost every hairball treatment on the market...they just add 'flavor' to make it more palatable for kitty.

    yes, i use the medical grade kind once a week or so with tux and another cat that don't cough up their hairballs. but, regular long term use can cause nutrients to not be absorbed or something like that..
