I believe normal is less than 2.4.

Thank you it was .6. I just got a used meter and have no manual or instryctions. No control solution. So just thought I would check her. I will call and get control solution. I can't read those stupid urine strips, sucks getting old. Thank you for your quick response. I was freaking a little.

@Bobbie And Bubba used a meter. I think the number for people and cats is different.

From a post by @Marje and Gracie
Since ketones begin to show up on a blood ketone meter between 2.4 and 2.55,

"With the NovaMax, 0 - .6 is normal. .6 - 1.5 is a warning range & above 1.5 is an immediate issue." Found this in another post.

I think I have figured out why phoebe won't eat her overnight fuds. She doesn't like it when it's cold. I pointed it out to her in timer. She went to bowl and looked at it, then walked to her bowl. I took it out of feeder and warmed it up in her bowl, she ate it. How do I get the food warmer thru the night??? These cats are soo demanding. :(

Try getting those hand warmer packs and instead of freezer pack put the warming one in? When you are home, of course, to see how it will work when you are not around. I think they sell packs of 2 at dollar stores :). Hopefully, they still have some for you to try. Thinking they should do well with ceramic dishes :bookworm:

My aunt has heated bowls. I have no idea where she got them, but I can ask. Or you can try Amazon or something.

Thanks Sharon for posting. Yes, the ranges for humans and cats are different. And for cats it is as Sharon posted above.

I was just having the same problem with Leo and his auto feeder over night. I was worried about the food going bad overnight so I put a small ice pack on top of the PetSafe feeder to keep it chilled. Well- Leo doesn't like his food chilled!
