? Possible high ketones with bg 250?

I have not posted for Andy for a while because he was doing ok. Last evening and this morning, his appetite was off but his bg's were normal for him. His breath smells a little fruity. BG tested at 250 at +7. I have a Precision Xtra meter for ketones but have not used it to test ketones for a long time so my strips are 2 yrs old. But I tried testing and it came up as 3.1. I am concerned. Any advice is appreciated. Thx.
