    What do you recommend. The test strips are so expensive
    And can u buy in pharmacu in us??. What other meters may I buy? @-)

    Where do you live?

    In US, WalMart ReliOn Confirm, Confirm Micro, or Prime are all pretty good.
    You must use pet specific reference numbers with them.

    Hello and welcome to the message board. It looks like you are double posting all your messages. It takes some time to get used to this message board and how things work, but we'll help you all along the way.

    Yes, the Alphatrak test strips are very costly and hard to get if your vet is closed. Two reasons why most of us here have stopped using thepet specific Alphatrak and use a human glucometer. The readings will be slightly different, but we have reference ranges for the BG (blood glucose) levels.

    What is your first name?
    Your cat's name?
    What insulin are you using?
    Diagnosis date?

    With those low readings you are getting on an Alphatrak, please do not give your cat any insulin!
