I have a high-dose kitty that I am getting ready to test for Acromegaly/IGF-1 and Insulin Auto Antibodies (IAA). Before I ask my vet about these tests, I wondered if there are any recent articles about these two tests, Insulin Auto Antibodies or Acromegaly, for me to review and possible share with my vet?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi Michele, you are wise to get the tests since you are over 6u and Cliff's #s are still not great. Michigan State University (MSU) is the only place that does the tests here in the US and your vet will have to send the blood to them. Cost should be about $150-200 for the 2 tests and it may help to know what you're dealing with. I hope Cliff comes back negative, my boy is an acro. Here are the links for the 2 tests, as you can see cost for test is cheap but shipping can be expensive, my vet charged me $222: https://www.animalhealth.msu.edu/Bin/Catalog.exe?Action=Test&Id=1494
