I'm at a loss for what's going on with Luna. We dropped her Fancy Feast food (~4% carbs) for Friskies Pate (~6%) to save some money and within a month she's gone from 9 units to 6.5 BID. I am pretty sure this is great news... could this be anything else? Is she healing?

That's wonderful that her insulin needs are decreasing. Sorry, I have no answer as to why, but I would say it is great news. Hope she continues down the dosing ladder.

Without a SS, I wouldn’t hazard to speculate. Remember if she’s acro that the tumor can wane and during those times, the BG can come down. But that also means if it “gears up” again, the BG could go back up.

It’s really important to keep a SS at all times because it’s the only way we can see the patterns and give you the best advice.
