Yay! I've been there - very recently- shaking and scared when learning to do a BG test on our Livvy. So I can empathize, and sincerely congratulate you! It will get easier and easier. It's no big deal for me now - just two weeks later - and I can't believe that since my fitter try was so traumatic. You've got this!

Good job! You've got this and it is so important to keep Martini safe. Especially important are the test before you give the insulin to know if is safe to shoot.

WOOT! CONGRATS!

Yous guys are the bestest! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
She still loves me too!!!!! :) :)
Janet said to prick right thru the ear? I've been avoiding pricking quickly (not that Martini has stayed still for any length) and trying slow and light touch.
Hoping to become an expert REALLY soon! :)
Again, thank you for everything! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Congrats. It's one of the hardest fears in this dance to conquer. And you did. You will be an expert in no time. Martini will be better off now.

Haha. I mean don't make piercing the ear every time the goal, but honestly it does no harm.... So whenever you really just need that reading, go for it. A little squeeze of cotton pad neosporin afterwards will prevent bruising.

YOU GOT THIS GIRL!

Thank you Janet, I was confused (not hard for me). I'm told they discontinued Neosporin here when I went to buy some. Polysporin will have to do. And wouldn't you know it, I screwed up the shot tonight - not sure actually how much she got in her. She's doing so well, I hope I pray I did not screw everything up. :(

If you're in Canada, Polysporin is the same as Neosporin.

Thanks Kris. I am in Canada, I don't get why the pharmacy said Neosporin is discontinued, why have two same medications with different names? Doesn't matter tho.
Huggs to all you wonderful people!
Not hopeful on getting a AMPS reading as Martini is too excited about getting to eat and very slippery!

Same thing. Missing one shot isn't going to have long term effects. It's happened to all of us.

Congratulations on your first solo test! Don't rest on your laurels, now - practise makes perfect! ;):p

Furshots happen to the best of us. Just concentrate on getting the tests that you can, especially those pre-shots, and don't sweat what's already done. You got this!

Congratulations!!!!

Is great that you could test on your own!!

As for the fur shot welcome to the club I guess almost all of us have had one at one time or another don't worry too much you'll get back on track in no time
