Should I be using Dry Matter Basis or As Fed values?

    Weruva sent me their nutritional chart (for anyone interested: https://weruva.com/nutrition-landing/). Should I be looking at the DMB or as fed carb values when choosing a food? The % of carbs are a lot lower in the as fed chart for most of them than the DMB chart.

    Hmmm..... If doing a 'percentage of calories from carbs' calculation the result should be the same, since water has no calories....
    Have you done the calculations with both on your own calculator?

    Just had a look at the page of pate info. It looks like the table at the top gives 'percentage of calories' for the various elements, including carbs.

    They give the first one on the list, 'Press Your Lunch' as 5.9% calories from carbs. My own calculation (just using their as fed %'s for protein, fat, fibre, ash, and moisture) comes out as 5.6%, which is pretty similar, and I'd say, 'good enough' given how accurate/inaccurate pet food labelling is anyway.... :rolleyes:
