What a WONDERFUL story!!! Thanks for sharing it! Those kittens are precious and they were so lucky you and your hubby came into their lives and gave them life! I'm partial to your tortie, of course. :D

Well, you and your husband surely did a great job for not being cat owners! I can only imagine the experience!

Before that experience, Hubby use to put mouse traps on the patio chairs to stop the feral cats from going on them.
My neighbor was of course appalled that he did that, so for her to come and beg him to help was something else.
(she is now the head of a cat rescue organization)
Hubby is now a major cat man and feels terrible he ever did that.
He never knew kitties were so precious, but definetly knows now.
The whole experience really changed him into a major cat lover.

We have trapped some of the feral cats, had them neutered or spayed and re-released them.
We have trapped many kittens of those cats before that and along with my neighbor had them placed in good homes.

YES, we are major cat people now. lol.

Y'all are treasures! So many cats are so much better off. Neat story about your hubby becoming a cat person!

We also have a 3rd cat we took in.

It was just before Halloween of 1999, so the other 2 were 6 months old.
This approx 4 yrs old, pure black cat, declawed and neutered cat was roaming at a co-workers house.
Her daughter brought the cat to the office.

I took him home and named him "Lucky"

Wonderful story and cute pics. I had the same problem when a stray gave birth in my house then abandoned them a few weeks later. I also had to do the warm wet rag and paper towel trick. ..lol There were 5 in my litter. 2 went to neighbors and 3 are still with me. 10 years old this September . I think you are great parents and I'm glad your husband came around to be a cat lover. They such fun :) Have a wonderful evening and thanks for the story!
