@Nonny's Mom, I hope you'll see this post over here. Hello and welcome!

Nonny's numbers look great right now. The lower number after the meal is just an indication that Nonny's pancreas is doing some of the work now, which is a great sign. And yes, we see lots of kitties go into remission fairly quickly after a food change and some insulin support.

If you could set up a spreadsheet, it will really help. Make sure you use the one for World/pet meter. It will automatically convert between World and US numbers so folks from anywhere can interpret the data and help out. Here is the link to the template: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/fdmb-spreadsheet-instructions.130337/

If you need any help getting it set up, just ask. There are folks around here who are great at helping with that.

Those numbers you're getting are really hopeful, and I'm so glad you reduced the dose from the 2u! Definitely too much insulin for your little one! It is possible to do very small doses like 0.5u, 0.25u, or even a little less, and those dinky doses might be helpful in getting Nonny all the way off of insulin. Once you're numbers are in the spreadsheet it will be easier to see what might be helpful.
