    Hi Everyone,

I have been seeing the OTJ and OTJ Trial floating around. As a Newbie and perhaps for other Newbies could someone give us the low down on what this is.

    Thanks

    Lots to learn

OTJ means 'off the juice', i.e not needing insulin (we all dream of this happening for our cats). OTJ trial is a period without insulin and whilst continuing monitoring to check if the blood sugars stay in the normal range, if the cat goes 14 days without needing insulin and maintaining normal levels throughout they are then OTJ and much partying happens.

Ah, thank Alexi - I can stop wracking my brain on this puzzle.

I hope to someday throw a huge party!

Here is a LINK to some of the jargon we use around here. Funny enough "OTJ" seems to have been omitted. Maybe an intentional antijinx-emoticon.png ! :woot:
