Willow threw up bright red blood this morning mixed with bile. My account is frozen due to the balance but they agreed to see him since they classify that as an emergency. He's dehydrated and in the back receiving fluids right now. I can't even afford my own groceries this month. Please send good thoughts for Willow and for me that I make it through this emotionally and financially.

Thanks everyone! We're home now. He was very dehydrated and received fluids, and a shot of cerenia and an antacid and was sent home to be monitored (I called in to work) because they didn't want to risk him not eating or not urinating there. They held off on the xray due to cost. I was sent home with a couple bags of fluids and a prescription for liquid pepcid (pilling him makes him throw up now).

They can only speculate since I couldn't afford bloodwork or xrays. He said there's a possiblity that it was just a burst blood vessel from throwing up. I found a local compounding pharmacy that will compound liquid pepcid for me very inexpensively, so we should have that tomorrow.

Edited to add: He's had chronic pancreatitis, so they're leaning toward a flare-up being the cause of the throwing up.

If cost is an issue, you don't really need a compunding pharmacy.

Just take an oral syringe, put in a quarter of a 10 mg tablet (ie 2.25 mg), suck up a little water, wait a few minutes for it to dissolve, then suck in a little bit of meat only baby food (no onions!), shake well, and dose the cat.

Thanks everyone. Struggling now with getting him to eat. Only thing he would attempt a couple bites of was HC, but at this point he can't eat whatever, I just want him to eat. :(

Maybe if you wait a little bit, he'll eat a little later. He's had a rough day.

Ya, the vet told me not to panic if he doesn't eat today, but if he doesn't starting eating tomorrow, I'm supposed to call.
