I need to now the main difference between TR and SLGS. I see that the TR goes off numbers over a few days but the SLGS is after a week.
I am trying to follow TR as much as I can, but still not sure I am doing it right.

From her Nadirs- which Ive only caught a couple- should I increase the dose yet?

Hiya Rosa! The main difference between TR and SLGS is the aggressiveness of dose increases. Generally SLGS is used when beans are unable to test that frequently, so the doses are held longer and curves are performed once a week to see if an increase is needed. You test more than enough to follow the TR protocol. In TR, you test more frequently, which gives you a good idea how the dose is working. This means you can increase as often as every 3 days (or 6 cycles) instead of waiting to curve. With Mimi's history of DKA and your frequent testing, TR protocol would be a good idea if you're willing. The goal here is to get her out of those reds and pinks. Looking at Mimi's spreadsheet, she's been on the 1.25u dose for the last 8 days. In that time, she's only had one blue since the 22nd. I think it's time for an increase to 1.5u.

First, a housekeeping note... Every day when you open a new thread, please link the thread from the previous day. This will allow you and us to backtrack for information if need be. This is the link to Mimi's thread from yesterday.

A second housekeeping note: It would make it much easier to read your spreadsheet if you removed all of the notes about when you're feeding your cat. You can put that information in the Comments section. The same with the information about ketones test results.

You've had Rosa at this dose for sufficient time that you can increase the dose. You can increase to 1.5u. As for the differences between TR and SLGS, I outlined this for you yesterday. See post #4 in the thread that I linked above.

I want to reiterate what Marje posted previously.. You really need to pick a dosing strategy. It's not a mater of mixing and matching between TR and SLGS. Include information about which method you're using in your signature.

oh I don't know how to link it. Ill figure it out. Sorry there is so much information given to me that its hard to remember correctly or keep up.. It takes me a while to understand things but once I do I know them better than anyone. (ADHD)
Someone in a previous thread told me to list that stuff so its easy to see whats going on. ok Ill go back to just the numbers, thats easier for me anyway.

Ok just fixed the sheet so theres less on there. I have a question- do you think her BG is higher more often because she's eating more often?

No, numbers are not likely higher because she's eating more often. It's more likely that the numbers are higher because you dropped the dose from 2.0u to 1.0u on 10/14 and you've been working your dose back up.
