Yesterday

Zener managed to turn it around last night and woke me up 30 minutes early to let me know. :roll: :lol: Crazy cat. Appy is good this morning, consumed in the same four places as yesterday and still no breffis in bed with sleeping Anne. :lol: He's back to using piddle pads sometimes, instead of the litter boxes or outside. Maybe he doesn't want to get his paddy paws wet. He came running inside last night, probably because he got rained on a little. :lol:

OT: Here's the big rock we digging up out of the yard. A friend lent us her "rock stick", a 17 LB, 6' metal bar. It's magic!


Sending big hugs to Kathie, who just lost her civie Smokey yesterday and sugar kitty Zeus last week. It's almost too much to bear. She was a great bean and her kitties were lucky to be with her. Thank gawd for piddle pads, what a life saver thay can be. Had them for Mannie too, when things weren't so swell. sure did help. I love the wet paddy paws... Mannie never cared, now Elsa: no way will her paddy paws ever see the wet. it is so fun to watch her avoid teh wet stuff when she's out side. :lol: :lol: Lola and Bug haven't been let out yet, too early to know what they will think. an adventure awaits!

Wow on the rock! Those bars work well for stumps too! We actually take them w/ us when we are collecting CA Junipers in the mountains, sometimes I just want to leave it up there instead of carrying it out!

Zener, time to turn it around. Mags uses the piddle pads, too, but uses the LB for #2! Paddy Paws! :lol: Was the rock causing damage or something. It looks huge!

I hope Zener decides to come back down soon. That looks like a big rock. I've never heard of a rock stick before.

It's been a slide uphill this cycle, and mostly yellows. Looks like this could still be bounce behavior, so no dosecrease threat yet. We held off on giving fluids today as Zener did not show any signs of dehydration, his skin/fur was nice and springy and he was eating and feeling good. So, we decided to give this one a skip and see how 2x/week goes. We have paws crossed with the cooler temperatures and his poo behavior back to his normal, that fluids may be a short term thing {{{anti-jinx}}}. We have all the supplies now, so we are ready to go as needed.

@Devon - Liz has a niece and nephew (both adults now) who had two kitties when they were kids, named Slugger and Paddy Paws. That's where we got it.

@Michelle - we're not quite sure why he is back to piddle pad behavior after months of using litter. I'll clean out all the boxes and scrub them out, replace the litter and see what happens. We also noticed this started when we started with fluids too. Can't wait to read of the adventures of Lola and Bug when they venture into the great beyond! ;-)

@Ann & Tess - drat, turned into a yellow cruise. :roll: And thanks for the tip on using the rock bar on junipers! We have some mostly dead shrubs in our front yard we need to replace and we'll try the rock bar to get them out. Woo hoo!

@Doreen and PeePee - thank you for the directional instructions for Zener. He gets confused on that sometimes. :lol:

@Ann & Maggie - boy howdy are we grateful for piddle pads. We have some that are washable so we can reuse them. Zener poops outside or in the litter box too. Liz posted on Maggie's condo about the rock. We didn't know it was there, she uncovered it while making a garden space. :shock:

@carla - we hope Zener is reading his condo today and following the most excellent instructions from his LL aunties! :razz: The rock bar is sort of like this, only heavier.

Hope Zener comes back to the blue lagoon tonight!! Glad his appy has been good We still have our LB issues - but I think Cleo has just trained us to accept them :lol: :lol:

Things are setting up for a bounce breaking PJ party! :mrgreen: So, come one and come all!

@Cleo & Jane - as requested, Zener sped right through the blue grotto and is now hanging out in the :mrgreen: lagoon. Appy is happy {{{{anti-jinx}}}}. It's good to know others have LB issues too - we were so well trained with the piddle pads and splash resistant plastic draping and then lost our touch when Z was doing so well with the LBs. The beans need a refresher course! ;-) We LOVE the rock bar! It belongs to a friend and she said we could keep as long as we needed it, so we are coming up with more jobs for it - levers rule! :lol:
