Yesterday

Julia's numbers are still way too high for my comfort since we were green not so long ago! I really wish I could increase her dose tonight but it was recommended that I finish the 6 cycles before increasing. The sixth shot is tonight. I just don't like her this high. Ketones were negative yesterday and Mom didn't think to get a test when she saw her in the box before so I don't know if I can get another test today but I'll try. We're using the plain Greek yogurt for the tummy from the antibiotics. And I did not even think to ask before but are Greenies pill pockets (chicken) okay for diabetics? I suppose I could try without them if need be but it's so much easier with them.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that someone comes on here in the next few minutes before I shoot and says to go ahead and shoot the 1.00.

Could this possibly still be a bounce? I'm so puzzled since she'd been having great mornings. Now she can't get out of the bounce or these numbers or whatever this is and the 72 hours from her vet visit is up. Plus, she was fine Saturday morning so I don't know that the vet visit did it. :? The higher numbers have me more worried than the low ones.

And Mom will try and talk to the vet tomorrow about all that happened. Dad's aide unexpectedly came today (usually here on Tuesday's) and time just got away from us.

You should only be using the Allergy Formula Duck & Pea version of the Pill Pockets. Chicken ones contain wheat flour, wheat gluten, dried corn syrup amongst other ingredients that make them unsuitable for diabetics. The Allergy formula only come in dog version (cat ones no longer made  ) but you can still break off a piece to wrap a pill in. They have some carbs, but not as bad as the cat chicken ones. Warning, they smell, at least to humans.

Bounces can last 72 hours. Time for patience.
