Yesterday's Condo

Gabby kept waking me up to cuddle. It seemed like every time I shifted position, she thought it was a good excuse to climb on top of me for purrs and scritches after which, she slides back on to the bed for belly rubs. She was out of bed before the alarm and waiting for me by the kitchen. She is so good at communicating what she wants!

Aww, sweet Gabby. You speaking of belly rubs reminds me of an article I was reading a couple of days ago. It was talking about how few people know what they're cat is saying to them. One thing that stuck with me was that when the cat is on their back with their belly exposed, it's a sign they trust you, not that they're looking for a belly rub. And, it said if you rub their exposed belly it's a betrayal of their trust. Crackpot! Hershey does NOT want most people touching his belly, but when Oreo exposes his belly? He's all about getting it rubbed! :lol:

Awwww, I can just imagine the belly rub position :-) It's nice to stop by and hear Gabby's morning goodness - I hope you guys are doing well. Leo is getting a *little* better about belly rubs, but Molly will let a stranger off the street rub her belly! It's so sweet you get the cuddles.

When Neko's feeling really good, she also goes hunting for belly rubs. I love it when they let you do that!

Well, I thought I would peek at Gabby's SS to see how an expert deals with an early 46/39 value. HC all the way 'eh? Even pre-load her with HC at shot times?

I assume you have had to live and learn how to control her cycles.......and that is what works for her!!

Another example of every cat is different.....

so does that 39 phase you or not? are you happy or scare when you see that value?

I don't give HC at shot time. If I need to pre-load on HC, I shouldn't be shooting!! I do test early since Gabby is quite capable of early drops. What you're seeing is my attempting to prevent Gabby from getting a reduction. She's a long term diabetic so I want to make her work for the reductions and stay in good numbers for as long as possible.

The only time I get concerned is if I find Gabby in the 20s. That doesn't happen often. Numbers in the 30s -- well, sometimes I test a 2nd time to make sure that it's not an error.
