9/1 ELIAN - AMBG 99; PMBG 102 Day 1 OTJ trial

Well he just made it in the green on his very first OTJ ambg by the skin of his teeth! But I'll take it. I will, however, test him in +3 to see if he comes down at all after eating. He's staring at me and wondering why I'm not giving him his second poke!

Guess it's usually reserved for actual OTJ. I don't see anything wrong with using it now - you are on trial and it lets everyone know this is a happy condo!

91 +2 ..... only because I couldn't wait til +3! Was anxious to see if Mr.P is employed!!!! (And old habits are hard to give up cold tofurkey!)

OTJ day 1 has begun,
13 more days until it's done.
Elian has a big grin,
got that green by the teeth skin.
Giving his mommabean some staring,
maybe he's looking for some herring?

Motif #1, Rockport MA, famous spot for painters, just up the road from me.

Okay - I'm done! Just wanted to be sure things are working right - he's at 77 +5!!! Will not test again until pmbg.

Susie, the trial is also where you learn to put down the meter and relax! :lol: Sometimes I think that's the hardest part for beans.

Wendy - it's difficult to put it down because I want to be sure he doesn't go to high! But I am holding off until his pmbg. It's not easy but I'm doing it.

TDS. Testing Withdrawal Syndrome. Where it's difficult for the caregiver to stop with the so many pokies. Just wait until you are not giving any insulin at all and go to once a week testing! :shock: :o :shock: It will be interesting to see how soon you feel you can taper off on the testing.
 
Deb - that's me to a tee! And now I'm like a neurotic dieter - don't like what one scale says so go to another. In this case - a second meter. Yes, I admit it. His pmbg on the blue meter was 102 but on the red one it was only 91. But I put 102 on his SS - no cheating. I'm so ashamed. But a blue means I get to test again in 3 hours. :-)
