Good Morning Lantus Land!
Well, I had a thorough post completed a little while ago, and when I tried to upload a picture, I got an error message, so here's the condensed version:
First and foremost, prayers go out to Jamie, Jupiter, Dane, the Surgeon and Vet Support Staff!
All 8 of Gobbles' P's are present
ETA: Forgot to mention: he gets Cypro and Pepcid twice a day....if I could only figure out WHY his appetite is lacking? I am going to give it to him another 24 hours, and then see if his "real" appetite has returned...
Gobbles BG readings have been averaging about 60. His GI issues have cleared up some. He had diarrhea for almost two weeks, ending this past Monday when the Poo Fairy FINALLY got off her a$$ and left buried treasure. I received a wealth of information and advice from many members these past two weeks which I wholeheartedly appreciate.
It seems that Gobbles may have a gluten allergy, therefore, I am now feeding him Fancy Feast Chicken & Liver classic. I also believe he does better on higher-protein (and lower fat!!!) foods. I am sticking with the FF for now, as it is within my budget. Also, I found a product, Fruitables, for digestive help. It's a pumpkin-based digestive supplement for dogs and cats: http://www.fruitablespetfood.com/fruitables_digestive_supplement.html. I gave it to him twice almost a week ago and have not given it to him since. If his liqui-poo returns, it will be the first thing I try to combat it with.
I've attached a picture I took of Gobbles this morning, enjoying the mild weather...along with a picture of my gorgeous back yard.
