Well, he is bouncing today. Yesterday he surprised me with a 37! I wouldn't call it a nice surprise. It took a bit of time to get him up. I didn't want to over feed or over carb him. Still working on what the right amount is to bring him up. I think he is not as food/carb sensitive as some so it takes a bit more. I am also trying to control how much he eats because he needs to lose a pound. He woke up feeling great yesterday but by AM+4 he was feeling crappy; I think he had a touch of the old pancreatitis since he was lip licking and meatloafing. He is still getting around better and being more himself so I think the chiro appointment really helped him.

This morning he is STARVING.... I think high numbers do that to him.

Thanks for all the support yesterday. It really is nice to have someone there when he goes so low....

It's now midday and Ozy is hanging out in low hot pinks today. But he is feeling good, quite energetic and playful. Hanging out with us. Moving around. I'd say his quality of life got a big lift from the chiro appointment. I am so happy about that.

He had been like a very old old kitty. Now he is acting more his age, which is only eight.

Ozy played with Pippin. Chased a little. Wrestled. I can't remember the last time they played like that.

Hi Donaleen! It's good to hear that Ozy is acting his age and feeling well despite a bit of a bounce. It sounds like you handled the 37 like a pro. Congrats on the reduction!

Thanks, Amy. It felt a little too on the edge to me. I am not looking for thrills in the pancreas support arena. I am thinking that Ozy needs more carbs early to bring him up a little sooner. I think I should have given him more maple syrup when he was at 37.

But he is doing well. Warms my heart. And he KNOWS we are helping him. Yes, he does.

We managed to give him 100ml of subQ fluids with NO PROBLEM..... We used 20 gauge needle and froze the needles, as suggested by Marje. So cool.

It's on a day when he is bouncing so seems timely.

So pleased!
