Yesterday was a mostly blue grotto day.

Looks like Neko might have snuck a toe into the lagoon overnight, but I slept through it. She was just easing down slowly so I'm hoping she behaved herself. I meant to get a +6 last night, but did the "I'll get up in a moment" thing again and time just went by. The Lev late nadir thing is hard on beans. Just ask Ann (Tess) about that last night! On the upside of Lev, I do like the flatness I'm seeing so far.

Neko was up and at it, demanding breakfast a bit before the alarm went off this morning. After first breffs she hopped downstairs and asked to be let out the front door. It's under the deck, so it's the dry entrance to the outside. It was drizzling outside and Neko knew that without even trying the upstairs deck door she normally goes out. She did get slightly damp but made it in before the rains picked up. Now that Otto has delivered the goods, it's time for a little nap. I might do the same.

Yep, those late nadirs are not easy. If you don't want to stay up too late, you have to have amps early. Either way, you lose sleep!!

OT: I'm surprised that you have to cover your tomatoes. Is it getting that cold in North Van? I've heard of hanging the tomato plant upsidedown but we don't have any room and I've heard it's rather messy. So I'll just cover things to get a couple more weeks.

Love those blues!!! Neko is getting used to them, she had some good nanner time this afternoon.

@Mariko - Just a bit of a rise before onset, but other than that Neko does seem to like the blues. Nap was with Theo, Neko was in the solarium.

@Doreen - Neko wasn't really going the wrong way. Lev has a late onset so any tests after PMPS and before onset can be higher, but not always. Drizzle didn't last long, we had sunshine later on so cats got to toast in the solarium.

@Carla - Still surfing the blues.

@Nancy - I do love all this blue, and my meter average is under 200 again, which is great considering the first week on Lev had more pink on it.

@Rhiannon - I got a nap, Neko got her blues on. ;-)

@Ella - Neko doesn't mind a bit of rain, it's the downpours she hates. I may change AMPS when rowing is over end of October, but now it works because I get up at +9 for rowing 4 days a week. And it works for the rest of life. I'd love to have enough data like you so I could go to sleep after +5.5 if the numbers say it's OK.

@Liz - Neko did great today again! We cover tomatoes because of the rain can cause late blight. I use PVC piping in a circle with plastic over them. It also acts like a mini green house and I get more ripe tomatoes instead of green. At end of season I just cut off a piece of the step with tomatoes (about a foot) and lay them down that way. The upside method is way too messy - tried it once.

What kind of tomatoes?

I'm up to my elbows in tomatoes this year, probably a record harvest.

Kind of like upstate NY only without the Late Blight.

Neko's highs and lows have really flattened out! I think the the Lev is agreeing with her.
Maybe things will flatten out even more and you could return to a normal sleep pattern.

Is your AutoFeeder helping? Rex's has provided such a relief! I upgraded his from the 4 chamber to the 6 chamber to spread his food out even more!

@Mariko - As usual, a nicer PM cycle than AM. :roll:

@Dale - Black krim, pruden's purple, stupice, sweetie, jaune flamme, peron, winter keeper, some italian type I got at our little Italy section of town and my favorite called "big", which is from seed DH's coworkers Italian mother grew in eastern Canada. He didn't know the English name. I like the heritage ones best. My counters are covered with yellow, orange, red, pink, and purple tomatoes.

@Rich - I do like what I've seen so far with Lev, although getting the right dose also makes a difference. What I'm hoping for is to get a better idea when I really need to get up for those +8/+9 nadir checks. Neko does love Otto, her autofeeder. I might have to change when she gets her meals with the different onset and nadir. Or not, seems to be working OK so far.
