Last night I found out some wonderful news! A donation was made for Jupiters 2nd chemo treatment and bloodwork! The generosity and kindness we have received from everyone here is overwhelming (in the most awesome way of course!). Tears of joy when I found out! This news is a HUGE burden lifted. One less thing to worry about. Jupiter and I are so blessed to have such wonderful and amazing people that care so much about us. Like I have said before, FDMB has saved Jupiters life - I am forever thankful!
Jupiter is doing okay today. His appy today so far - not so great... but hoping it continues to improve.
He woke me up a lot of times last night.... I think he liked it when I was waking up every 30 minutes to check on him... and now that I am no longer doing that.... maybe he is waking me up every 30 minutes to check on me!!!
Honestly though, not sure why he is waking me up so much at night. He stood in bed and meowed until I pet him for a second... then as soon as I started petting him.... he walked away. ??? Weird, right? He did that twice during the night. Another time he woke me up... he was sitting by his food plate and meowing... and I thought maybe he was hungry and there was no food left or something... but when I looked at his plate... he started eating... maybe he just wanted me to know he was eating? Another time he meowed because he wanted to go on the couch.... another time he wanted to go in his perch.... and he again tried using his scratcher and since the scratcher is a really skinny one he would fall over since the other back leg isnt there to balance him. So he got very upset and frustrated again last night and was meowing.
Well another great thing! MJ ordered him a wide scratcher from walmart and we are picking it up tonight after Dane gets off of work! I really hope he will be able to lay on the scratcher while he scratches, so hes not falling over and getting so upset. I hate to see him struggle and its very hard for me to watch him get so upset. I am hoping and praying this wider one will make it easier for him to scratch! Thank you so much MJ!! I appreciate it so much. It means a lot to me.... I will be so happy if hes not getting so upset/sad/frustrated anymore from that!
I want to make sure hes not constipated but its hard to know because now thats hes not being confined at all he can go to the litter box whenever. We have 2 boxes that the 3 cats share so its hard to tell if he has went recently or not....I think I would notice if he went during the day but who knows...I am going to try to keep a really close eye on him today and tomorrow to make sure he is able to go. He does seem to be going pee regularly which is great.
I am still working hard to teach him to get onto his perch by himself. This morning I folded up a few fleece throws (since they are firmer) and put them on my lap. Then put Jupiter on my lap in front of his perch. I showed him to jump onto the first level first, then the next. He did it! But if I were not sitting there he could not have made the first jump. I put a box there for him to jump on but he doesnt want to use the box... so I am going to see if I can find something else a little more sturdy that he would be comfortable jumping onto first.
Thank you all so much for the visits and continued support. It means so much to me to have you all with us each step of the way :YMHUG:
A special thank you to Rich&Rex
Continued prayers for Marje, Mike, & Family.
Comforting vines and prayers for Christy.
Glad to hear Cleo's dental went well today and hoping that her numbers come back down.
Prayers for all others kitties in need today!
