Mousie yesterday

Zener is doing fine this morning, except his BG is a little high. Oh well. Appy is so-so because he is far too busy with staring at the wood pile to eat. :lol: :lol: It was all quiet here last night so the indoor mouse must be hiding well or those cats are too lazy to keep watch. Or both. Like I said, it could be awhile.

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans, Jamie and Jupiter, Dara's Bob, Dyana's J.D., Melissa's Tarragon (the prednisolone seems to be helping :-D ), Sienne's sister's cat, Shiwa, Jane's Cleo (recovering from dental and taking a nasty AB). Sending comfort vines to Mary as she mourns the passing of Stella and to all the beans who are missing their GA kitties (which must be everyone in LL). Paws crossed for Tootoo's OTJ trial. It's looking good! Happy Fursday, LL!

Come on down Zener. Sounds like he is busy busy busy. A mouse in the house? I missed that. Luckily, our drooler don't let mousies get near the house and thinks they are a good snack (poor mousies). Have a great day all!!

Hey Liz - hope Zener's BG comes down for you! And I hope someone catches the mouse. I could just pee my pants thinking about it.

Last time Ginger let a mouse loose in the house, I just baited a live mouse trap with some peanut butter and let the poor thing go back outside.

Before I let it loose, I watched it first to make sure it was not wounded and going to make it and it was just sitting there licking all the peanut butter off it's body. Very cute :-D

I think there is a lack of attention span on the part of the mighty hunters! Tillie forgot she chased the mouser in the house last night! :lol: :lol: My GA Cleo was great at catching ground squirrels in MN (basically chipmunks w/ long tails there.) She'd bring them in for me to join in the fun and chase. One defied capture, we found it weeks later in a nice little nest in the sofa w/ his own pantry full of Cleo's food that he had stolen! confused_cat :lol: :lol: :lol:

Nice slide for Zener today. I hope he keeps going to the lagoon. Maybe you'll get lucky and Tillie will chase the mouse back outside.

Zener had a little liquid puke but dinner seems to be staying down just fine. Lots of action in the backyard!

Years ago, in our old camp, which was quite remote and off the grid, Alice used to sit under the table and watch the mice eat her food. She never bothered to chase them there, but in our Brooklyn house she caught every mouse that came her way and ate the whole thing--even the little green organ and the tail. Stu caught a chipmunk once, but we made him drop it. Rusty caught and killed a tree squirrel last year at camp and caught and "played" with 3 mice in the cabin (but didn't kill them; we had to dispatch them because they were too far gone to live). There were no mice there this year, alas!

Is Tillie out looking for a second mouse to bring in? Then she could have a family of meeces to hunt inside when there's snow outside and it's too cold to go out. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Ginger once caught a little bird... from inside the apartment!
I don't know if the bird flew in, or Ginger was half in half out the window to catch it. :o
Lucy isn't a good hunter, can't even catch a bug. :lol:

I'm sorry he puked earlier....
I'm glad he's keeping his dinner.
