I was hurrying and shot her from a bit awkward angle, and when I pulled the needle out, I saw a droplet of Lantus on her fur.
I didn't poke through her skin, but I think I might have poked too shallow, and maybe some juice came out with the needle.
Honestly I don't know how it happened, but today's lesson is never to rush.
I guess I'll get up 10 minutes early from tomorrow.
With the change of prednisolone time (moved from PM to AM) and other supplements I'm adding (FortiFlora & Vitamin E), I need more time to prepare their breakfast.
I must be moving much slower in the morning.... :roll:

Lucy is doing OK. Not great today.
She was distracted while I was finger-feeding her 1st breakfast, moving from one room to the next and back.
She was gassy, so maybe her tummy is feeling strange, or she might be really fed up with FortiFlora flavor.
She hasn't pooped yet, but I don't feel very hopeful about firm poop today. :sad:

That is a nice AMPS, so I hope you were seeing only a drop of insulin on the end of the needle, and there wasn't a furshot.
I agree with you that all this activity is hard especially at the beginning of the day!

Hi, Mariko. Just wanted to stop by. I am struggling with my own bounce demons/high numbers, etc. Your cycle looks mighty good to me.

Just the last bit was soft.

Hi Mariko,
I do that type of "fur" shot frequently. Rusty has lots of hair and even when I pull it up, it can be hard to find skin. It sure looks like most of your insulin got in this morning. Nice surf, Lucy!

We are continuing to send Lucy healing vines and hope she will be feeling better and better.

Fed her 3rd dinner (abt 1/8 of 5.5oz can) with a couple of drops of karo.

Will test her at +2.5.

Reduction tomorrow.

Her appy isn't great today, so I won't push any more food just yet.
If she is down at +3.5, I'll do more feeding session. :roll:

I think it's perfectly safe for me to go to bed now.
I can appreciate these green numbers a lot more when she does it in PM cycles.
I don't have to deal with work while dealing with her numbers... very stressful sometimes.
(I honestly want to hang up on all calls and delete all e-mails with "urgent" in the subject line.)

Poor Lucy, she got poked a lot today.
I really hope she doesn't bounce, or get sick from the extra food.
She had a green with scary red text color today....
