Just in case I'd forgotten what "HI" looks like on the meter, Papaya gave me one this morning. I don't know where she pulled it from, she didn't seem to be diving too much last night and she got snacks frequently through the evening later than I was testing. In fact she wasn't too interested in finishing the snack I gave around +6.5, so I wasn't expecting this. She seemed to be feeling okay this morning, though, and wasn't drinking or in a rush to use the litter like she does sometimes if she's been high for a while overnight.
When she was working on her second breakfast at the edge of the bed, partially standing on the adjacent shelf, I think she got her claw stuck in the mat under the dish, which resulted in flipping her water dish towards her and the bed. Boy did she move fast back to the head of the bed! She was just sitting there when I turned on the light after the commotion, as if to say "I certainly had nothing to do with it way over there, but someone seems to have spilled the water . . . be a dear and clean it up?"
The HI earned her a pokey-break this morning so I'll hope we're starting at a better place by PMPS. Take care, kitties & beans!
