Good Morning, Everyone,

It's 18 degrees and snowing. I'm about to leave for a hike in the High Peaks. Rusty is higher than I would like, but he's still getting his shed readjusted. We'll see where he is this afternoon. An "ouchie" shot this morning, but it got in. He was not pleased! Wishing you all a good day. I'll be back sometime around +9 or +10.

Enjoy your hike! A snowy one? Kudos to you, and I hope it is enjoyable. Take some photos? How does your phone app/peak finder work in snowy weather? I have yet to try mine... no peaks to find! :lol:

Hi, Ella, I hope Rusty is recovering well from his ouchie shot this morning. I bet he's snuggled up somewhere, dreaming about radiators... ;-)

How was your hike? What is the elevation?

You go girl!! I need to take a page out of your book and try hiking...sitting still up in a treestand is no fun in these temps (22/33 today)!!!

Hi again,

The boys had a good day together with combing/brushing, good eating, and relaxing by the radiator. Rusty's numbers are a bit better than yesterday. But I may take his dose up a drop tomorrow to try to get back to those good numbers he had before the ear meds.

I had a really challenging hike along the Ausable River to the Cathedral Rocks in the High Peaks. We climbed up on woods trails to cliffs and ridges and there was quite a bit of snow (3 inches) on top of icy fallen leaves, and there were icy waterfalls. It was slippery. At one point we had to climb through a trench in the cliff--very steep. But we made it to the other side to see the view (which, however, was shrouded in cloud). Anyway, the hike was listed as a "C" (easy), but we all agreed that at this time of year it was about a "B+". We had to cross some wide and fast streams on icy rocks and one of the women slipped and fell into the water. We all had enough dry clothes and socks for her to change into. It was quite a day. I'm tired this evening. My knee, which had been bothering me last week, was fine (I had it strapped up with an Ace Bandage). So that was my day. I'll post some photos tomorrow.

To visit some condos now. HOpe all is well in LL.

Quite the challenging hike - especially the slippery bits and someone falling into the water in those temperatures. :shock: I'm glad you all made it back safely. I look forward to tomorrows pics.

Wow Ella! That sounds like a really adventurous hike, from weather to landscape :shock: I bet it was just beautiful up there and can't wait to see the pics Bet you'll sleep good tonight :lol:

Hi Ella - quite the day for you! what an outstanding hike. I always love how those easy hikes become difficult with just a "wisp" of a weather change. I look forward to your pics. How nice that you all had enough dry things for the lady that fell in. Dang that had to have been cold for her. BRRRRRRR!

Wow on the hiking adventure. Rusty is looking pretty flat in a swedish sort of way. Dosecrease threat is on the table.

Hi again and thanks for visiting. I had to veg out in front of the TV to watch "Person of Interest", my favorite program.
