Well this is nice! As the meter was blinking before it came up with a number I was totally bracing for black, since Papaya did spend quite a while in blue and green last night. She wasn't too interested in the snacks I was giving at +5 and +6, though, which maybe shows that her body was happy with where the numbers were at.

She didn't eat her second breakfast right away this morning, saving it for about an hour an a half after the preshot meal. She didn't come out to the kitchen for breakfast today, just unrolled herself from the happy-sleeping-cat-ball to sit up and eat, then rolled herself back up again. Since it's -14 C (8 F) with an even worse windchill, I think she's got the right idea.

I'm really looking forward to taking her back to my parents' for a visit next month. She has a special place in my dad's heart and he will be so impressed to see her walking around nearly normally, compared to how she was last time we were out there!

Oh Amy, how nice to hear how much better Papaya is doing. Your dad will be so happy :-D I thought Cleo's loss of jumping ability was due to her age, but after she was on insulin for a few months (also Zobaline) she can jump to all her usual places :-D

Wow on 8F plus windchill  Sleeping happy cat ball sounds like the perfect position!

Have a wonderful day!

Very nice start for Papaya! I love her method to eating/sleeping. My Frankie has taken a shine to "breakfast in bed" like that, too. You're Dad is going to be thrilled with how well she is doing - so wonderful!

Have a great day, Amy!

Hi Amy,
Very nice AMPS, Papaya!!!
I'm also excited about your dad seeing Papaya!!!
I remember last time she was there, she hid under the couch and clawed tight onto the carpet when testing.
That was funny (sorry Papaya).
I hope she'll be more relaxed this time.

What a great start for Papaya. It's great to hear she's walking so well now. I don't blame her for wanting to stay curled up in bed. That's cold.

I like what I'm seeing.   Well done Papaya.

Great report on Papaya - she's come a long way. :-D

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been at many condos today, but I appreciate you all stopping by.

That's so nice to hear about Cleo, Jane! Papaya isn't jumping but she's walking a lot and not just to places she has to be, like the LB, but in to other rooms just to look around . . . and I'll take it!

Hi Amy! Now when do the kitties start serving US breakfast in bed? Although someone on here had a cat that brought a cockroach and dropped it on the pillow, so maybe we shouldn't suggest it . . .

Hi Jess! I agree!

 Good memory, Mariko! I think that's one of her favorite things about their house, the carpet! And Mom's favorite thing is watching me on my stomach trying to pry Papaya out from under the couch . . . I'm sure she'll be back there as fast as she can when we visit!

Hi Carla! I really wished I could have stayed with her - it was NASTY out there today, as cold with a bitter wind as we would expect in January.

MEEEEEE TOOOOOO!!! :-D She is really liking this dose, although the cattitude that comes with it is getting a bit dangerous for fingers and toes!
