Well, it's good to see the effects of last night's cracker binge have worn off. :lol: My little carb lover is back to her meat diet today - CPC as usual. She did a very quick tour on the deck, but it was too cold on her tootsies so didn't last long. It's early yet, but it's another sunny day and I expect the solarium will be calling after the autofeeder has delivered the rest of her meals.

OT: Civie Theo seems to be better. I checked the carpeted areas of the house this morning and no hairballs, no diarrhea since yesterday morning. I wonder if the probiotic helps with the hairballs too. Last year he was getting it more regularly and was a one hairball a month kind of guy.

Artisan cracker :lol: Neko is a gourmet.

Ginger didn't used to puke hairballs much often, and now is also a hairball kitty.
I didn't think about it, but what you said about hairballs and probiotic sounds reasonable.
Healthy gut makes hairballs easier to pass from the other end?

Love the cracker story... reminded me of Grayson riding on my base lazy susan cabinet filled with canned & boxed goods, with his head in a bag of egg noodles! Those poor carb-starved kitties!!! Have to get into so much mischief just to get something to fill them up!

Glad to hear that Neko is back down to her pre-cracker levels and that Theo is not leaving you any bodily fluids/solids
Hairballs can cause such problems in our kitties!

Neko and I have similar feelings about crackers ;-). How can you blame kitty when presented with such a delicacy :lol:? And, am glad to hear Theo is doing better. You and the shelter have very good taste in names, if I do say so myself .

I honestly can't say about the probiotics and hairball connection but it would make some sense...I'm curious now, gotta look into it.

Another creative cycle by Neko. :roll: I wonder where nadir will be today. :? A slightly soft but formed poo by Theo. :sad: Hope it means he's getting better. If not soon, then off to vetty.

@Mariko - Neko's not actually very picky on her crackers. :lol: It wasn't til after she ate one that I read the ingredients and realized they were yummy because they had so much sugar/honey in them. :roll:

@Lu-Ann - Hello and good to see you. Nice to see Grayson has decided blue and green are better colours on him. Neko also loves the cupboard where the bean's carbs are kept. She is right there as soon as I open the door. :lol:

@Jane - At least she's back to blue after another crazy cycle. Sometimes I think she's bouncing because she's dropping so fast late in the cycle. So far no more hairballs. (antijinx)

@Carla - At least the start was good and it looks like it'll end well too, not so sure about the middle of the cycle. :roll:

@Joely - We tempted fate and bought more crackers today. We love them too. :lol: I think I know the person that named Theo, I wonder if she remembers why that name. I should ask.

@Rise - Sunshine = sunny yellow, but also blue skies. They both had some good time basking today.

my little orange kitty, Frodo, just got scolded cuz he stuck his head in my glass and was licking the inside. ew. i'd just finished a root beer float - talk about carbs!!! this is the one that i keep thinking acts like he has acro - eats everything in sight. and no, i haven't tested him yet. :lol: :lol:

@Anne - Yup, looking like a green kind of night. Always the nights. :YMSIGH: Never the days. Theo's poo was stinky but then I remembered I gave him some canned food. I get spoiled with them on raw.

@Julie - A few years ago, Neko was never that crazy about carbs. She used to like to lick our ice cream bowls, but I think that was more a dairy attraction. Yummy on the root beer float, not so much on the cat licking inside. :lol: Glad to know I'm not the one that sees acros everywhere. ;-)
