Thanks for the visits last night, Amy, Kim, Pam, Rachel, Anne, and Marje. I appreciate the well-wishes for Ripley and the calm-reminders for me. Kitten steps.

Ripley is doing fine this morning.
She is perkier and even has a pretty good appy. She's eaten about half her breakfast so far.
She's asking for shrimp treats -- but her squawks are a little weak, sometimes silent even. I can't wait until Ripley gets her squawk back.
I was just going to type that I haven't seen her drink any water yet this morning (yay!) but she's now drinking (boo). Her water consumption is lessening a little each day. (For those who don't know, Ripples has been getting sub q fluids each night since Feb., and thus RARELY drinks water -- unless she's sick.)

Sorry I missed you yesterday... I missed just about everybody. :roll: it is great to read that Ripley is feeling better today. Sorry she wasn't yesterday. Good that her appy is there, good too that her water needs are less. On the mend I think.

Came home to a :shock: number. If that was +9, I wonder what her +6/7 was. I'll never know, and she's ok, so there's nothing for me to nailbite_smile about...
When I got home, Ripley met me at the door (something I haven't seen her do in a couple of weeks. Then she got onto her testing table (did she know she was in the low 40s?). She's now on my lap. Sweet girl.
Still drinking more water than I like to see. I hope that changes soon. But other than the water-drinking, she's taking kitten steps toward better health.

Yeah for kitten steps and greeting you at the door. :thumbup I do think they know that when they are low it's time to get tested. And get treats.

I've noticed the kitties a bit drier here, and wonder if it's the drier winter air that's affecting them.

Good thing you walked in ....of course, she wanted treats.

You know, even though he got 150 mls subqs every day, Gus still drank water. And his bloodwork stayed stable. I dunno....cats.... :roll: :lol:

Evening Josie! It's great to hear that Ripley is feeling better today. I've noticed Papaya's "test me, please" number is right around 50 - she'll be sleeping under a blanket next to me on the couch and then suddenly she burrows her way out and just sits there and looks at me pointedly. So I'm sure they know when things are a bit low, and they trust us to take care of it for them, dear kitties. It's sweet Ripley met you at the door, too! Have a great night.
