Good Morning, Everyone,

It's a cold one here this morning: -3 F. on our thermometer, -10 in Lake Placid. More than 2 feet of snow and another foot expected in the areas close to Lake Ontario. This winter is getting going!! We don't have much snow here: the "lake-effect" areas are getting it all.

Rusty is curled up in his little bed by the radiator. He shows no signs of wanting to move to the couch to schmooze! The morning routine went well. Rusty woke us up with meows 1 minute before the alarms went off. I thought it might be because his bg was low, but instead we have a big bounce. He probably went low last night.

I have designated today as a "plant day". I have put off trimming my houseplants for many months and they really need it. I'll have to don rubber gloves to do the philodendrons, because I have a dermatological allergy to their sap (one of the reasons I put off trimming them). "Pit", my 40+-year-old avocado is pushing the ceiling. Yup, it's time!

Keeping Jose and Ripley in our thoughts and prayers. Sending healing vines to PurrFace and John, Zener, Liz and Anne, Shadow, Jupiter, Casey, and all kitties and beans who are not feeling well. Good dental vines today to Hershey.

Brrrrrrrr. Rusty and Tarragon are hanging out again today. They are really in sync these days, just wish it was a floor down. Plant trimming is never pleasant. Mine need it desperately. Have a great day Ella!

BRRRRRrrrrr is right! Yikes, I couldn't take those temps - I'd be right beside Rusty!!

Wow on Pit - that is so cool! Trimming plants is a hassle...but much easier than trimming claws and getting rid of mats on excessively furry cats! Have a great day, Ella!!

Flat yellow day today for Rusty. I guess it means something!

The plants got their haircuts. Rusty slept all day. Edward and I bought a case of wine for the holidays. I made "Gypsy soup" for supper (lots of paprika and tumeric). That's about it. We had some sunshine, but the temperature never got above 14. Tonight we may get some snow. Tomorrow night it's supposed to go down to -15 degrees F. COLD for December!!! (these are January temperatures).

Off to visit some condos. Hope all had a good day.

YIKES, -3?!?!?! :shock: I'd stay by the radiator, too!! I don't know how you stand it that cold, makes my bones ache just thinking about it!

This is a steep dive into the lagoon. I wonder if I need to shave Rusty's dose back to the skinny 1.75?

I dont think I'd drop his dose. I'd probably try to feed the curve so he doesn't go quite so low and you can give the higher dose.
