Whew! Glad to see those red and black numbers gone! I love the Univ. Of Georgia, but not when it comes to Cobb!! I must have missed a dip the other night that triggered a bounce, or maybe Cobb was just being dramatic. :roll:

It looks like Matty is on the mend. Now if I could just find a way to put him in his crib without him immediately waking up and crying!!

Cobb and Matt wrestled a bit last night, so I know he's feeling well.

Yep, nothing like UGa colors to make pink look good. :-D Well done, Cobb! I'm glad Matty is feeling better, too! :-D

yay for matty feeling better! nothing's harder than having a sick baby. If only we could all get there, I think you'd have a lot of aunties willing to hold him for you! although he probably only wants you or his daddy.

hoping Cobb responds to today's increase. go cobb go!

Looks like we're surfing in the pink...again.

I'd have more midday tests, but wound up buying the wrong strips at Walmart! Ugh...confused my confirm with prime so I now have 50 strips for the Prime that I can't take back. :-(

Cobb seems to be feeling good though. He is exploring places to nap in a different room. Hopefully he'll soon venture back downstairs, although I think the noise from children's toys deters him.

So I figured out how to add and resize some pictures. You can see how interested Matty is in Cobb. And then my baby bean! :-D

I'm confused. :YMSIGH:

The past two nights Cobb's lowest number has been his pm preshot number. Tonight is the lowest I'll have ever shot so I'll be vigilant, especially depending on his +2.

Am I missing other dips? Should I be testing at another hour than what I'm doing? I usual do an am preshot, +3, +5, +7, sometimes a +9 and a pm preshot. At night I get a +2, usually a +5.5 and a +7.5. Occasionally a +10 or 11, although those are rare.

Thoughts??

Every once in a while take a step back from the ss (rather than being close to the computer monitor) and see if any 'wide open spaces' (areas of no testing results) jump out at you, say in the last week or 2. If there are, moving forward try and sprinkle a few tests during those times. It could be revealing. :cool:

WOOT!!! Nice sliding today Cobb. Look at that PMPS - paws crossed he sneaks down a little from there tonight. Work it Cobb!

Love the pics of the baby bean - looks like he's a natural cat lover. :-D

I like Sandy's idea of mixing up the tests a bit over time. A +2 or +3 gives you an idea where the cycle is going and then vary it from there. For me the +2 never did much unless she was starting low but the +3 was a good one. Some cats like to nadir late. Even on Lantus Neko used to typically nadir in the last half of the cycle. Nancy's Pepper often nadirs at PS on Lantus. I like a late cycle test, as it tells me if Neko is still dropping at PS.

I liked to see the +3 with punkin because it was a great "pointer" for what the cycle was going to do. I got that more often than the +2 because i found it so helpful. Once I could see a cycle I usually didn't test after the nadir because I knew when he nadired and he was consistent. You're not to the point of that yet. You do a great job of getting tests, btw!

and OHMYGOSH is Matty cute! what a doll! It's so fun to see a picture of him.

When i look at cobb, i'm amazed how much he looks like punkin. they could be twins.

and WAHOO on tonight's numbers! yay! and YAY again! let's enjoy the moment and seeing some action! he might very well bounce from this, but it's thrilling to see some action last longer than one hour on him.
 
Sorry, Julie. I didn't see your post until now. I was sound asleep about 5 minutes after I got the +2 with Cobb. The +3 is difficult to get right now because it's so late. At least late for me at the moment.

But we're holding steady at +5.75. Not getting too excited. Would like a drop, but I'll take what I can get right now. DH will get another test when he gets up for work which will be at +9.5. I'll try to grab another test in there somewhere.

i wasn't saying you should get a +3 - i was just saying that i liked it and why. that's all. most of the time so far, Cobb has been pretty flat, so i'm not sure a +3 would tell you much. Once we start seeing a regular curve to his cycle, then it might become helpful.
