Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night sleeping between his beans with his head on his little green pillow. We had a good test this morning (best number in a few days), but the shot was an "ouchie" (it got in, however). We had a lovely schmooze, so I know he forgives me for the ouchie shot. And he enjoyed his "lung treat" (Allerplex in a teaspoon of baby-food turkey).

Today is a chores day here. We are still trying to get out from under the holidays. We had planned to go out snowshoeing, but I tweaked my hamstring yesterday and need to get it better before the big climb on Wednesday. I may start in on putting away the xmas-tree ornaments. I really enjoy doing this: admiring them, thinking about when we acquired each one, and putting them back in their "homes" until next Christmas.

I posted very late a couple of pics from our beautiful snowshoe in the Paul Smiths' VIC yesterday. Here they are again for those interested. They were taken on the "Heron Marsh".

Wishing you all a fine day and hoping you all will be safe during the new big winter storm that is on the way.

Ella & Rusty

Re: 1/5 Rusty AMPS 180

Well that is a nice AMPS to start the day :-D I'm glad Rusty is feeling good, despite the ouchie shot :? I'm glad you enjoyed your snowshoe yesterday. Good luck on all the chores, and have a nice Sunday Ella :-D

Re: 1/5 Rusty AMPS 180

Very nice start for Rusty! Bummer about the owie shot...I hate when I do those. But, at least all the juice went in! I agree....packing up Christmas is just as sentimental as getting it all out is! Have a great day, and heal up that hamstring!!

I hope Rusty slides back down soon. I hate those ouchie shots. I'm glad Rusty forgave you. Those pictures are beautiful.

Re: 1/5 Rusty AMPS 180, +5.5 205

Great start for Rusty...hope he decides to turn around and head the other day!!

Beautiful pictures!! I wish I lived somewhere that was more picturesque. Nevada has some really ugly desert, but we do have Mount Charleston close by, about 45 minutes away. Maybe I'll take a trip up there while there's still snow this year.

I always dread putting the Christmas decorations away. I like the way you think about each ornament and it's origins. I'm going to try that. I think it will make it much more pleasant of a chore!!!

Re: 1/5 Rusty AMPS 180, +5.5 205

Food spike right, Rusty?? You are already heading back down aren't you???

Sorry about the pulled muscle, much better to rest up today. I do that w/ the ornaments as we put them on the tree. I remember most of them really well!

Re: 1/5 Rusty AMPS 180, +5.5 205

Gorgeous pictures of a beautiful place! Rusty has such a lovely home (and his beans too). Looks like a kind of flat blue-yellow surf and blue + yellow = green. Come on back to the lagoon Rusty, the water is heated. ;-)

OT - Thanks for the instructions in Zener's condo! :YMHUG: Liz threw out the old vaporizer and sent me to Target for a new one. It is a warm air humidifier, recommended for colds with coughing. It is so dry in our climate, most people run humidifiers in the winter even if not sick - regularly cleaned out by soaking in vinegar.

Re: 1/5 Rusty AMPS 180, +5.5 205

Looks like Rusty is having a "rest" day today - maybe later in the cycle he's head down? I hope he hasn't to decided to curl backwards like Neko did.

Those pictures are beautiful - love the cloud patterns. Take care of yourself today. Putting away ornaments sounds like a profitable way to spend the day. We are delaying taking down the tree. The tree chip ups in town were yesterday and today, but we just don't feel like taking the tree down quite yet.

Re: 1/5 Rusty AMPS 180, +5.5 205

The pictures are just beautiful ~ wish I was standing there looking in person!
Sorry for the ouchie, thank goodness we are forgiven quickly :-D
I also "relive" every ornament as I put them away - that is why it takes me forever!!

Hi again,
It may have been a fur shot, but we didn't smell Lev. Whatever. Rusty decided to go up, not down. I guess he thought the Pink Team needed more brooms. He has had a low-key day, spending most of it in his perch, his bed, and his basket.

After a miserable walk around Moody Pond (muddy slush; hard to walk in; not good for my hamstring), I decided to do nothing today but read my book!! 12th Night isn't until tomorrow in any event, and we usually take down the Xmas tree on Jan. 6th.
Our snow is turning rotten in this warm weather. On Moody Pond the curling court has been cleared of snow, but no curlers were out today. Several people who live around the pond have cleared small skating rinks. It looked very inviting. No one was skating, but there were people out walking on the ice.

Now to visit some condos before the season premiere of "Downton Abbey".

HI Ella!

Rusty - wrong way! down, not up. :?

Bummer on your hamstring - hope that feels better quickly. Paws crossed.

I enjoyed your photos. It looks like a good snowshoe. :-D Bummer on Moody pond! But I do like your solution: a good book. Sounds great to me.

Enjoy too putting away those ornaments. I like the sentiment behind putting them away. Very col.

Have a good rest of the evening....

Downton Abbey was terrific. We all enjoyed it. Rusty sat on the couch between us, finishing up his dinner.

Temperature here is 40 degrees F. and rising and the wind is howling. I hope we don't lose any trees.

Wishing you all a good evening.

Ella & Rusty
