J.D. ate okay last night and we took a short walk, while Ginger stayed on the porch steps and meowed so loud (because I guess she didn't want to go, but didn't want us to leave her either).

I woke up to a solid poo that was large (normal J.D. size) and hard by the time I found it in the morning.
At +10 this morning, his tummy was making noises, so I gave him some Pepcid.

Neither cat wanted what was served for 1st Breffis. J.D. acted hungry, but did not want the FF Beef & Liver, nor the Authority Beef that I offered after. I gave him some cypro and ondansetron at +0.25, and he just ate some FF Chunky Turkey with Miralax at +1.

I threw a bunch of peanuts out to the squirrels and I have never seen so many blue jays in one place (in New Jersey). I have heard of people made a squirrels for eating the bird food, but I am mad at the birds for eating my squirrels food. There are huge crows sometimes too, who steal the peanuts. I'll wait until later and maybe the birds will fly off.

Re: 02/01 J.D. AMPS 261

I'm sending tons of happy appy vines for J.D., and Ginger. Hoping that he gives you a lower surf today in better #s. Here that, J.D.? Lower #s = healing pancreas. We have bird issues here, too, with some of the birds eating stuff that I wish they wouldn't but they will. Try and have a good day, buys, and please stay warm, and safe.

Re: 02/01 J.D. AMPS 261, +3 151

Sending prayers the J.D. will eat some more and his tummy settles down. That's good that J.D. got his walk in. It is actually pretty warm in Long Island, New York. I think it is going up to the 40's and sunny. Enjoy your day Dyana

Blue-ti-ful +3 for J.D.
Sending tummy settling/appy vines for J.D. He must have been happy to get a walk in. Ginger is too funny :-D
Hope you have a good Caturday, Dyana

Re: 02/01 J.D. AMPS 261, +3 151, almost +4 78

I had laid on the couch for a little snooze and was woken by him purring loudly over my head at +2. We had a long lovin, rubbin, and scratching session, and then he ate some food at +2.5. At +4 he ate his 3rd Breffis (the same food he would not eat at +2) and I kept hearing a crunching noise while he was chewing.
I checked his teeth. I thought I would never be able to do it. He doesn't have a lot. 3 canines, a few molars on one side, and they all looked and felt fine.

I need to get these cats out for a walk today. It's kind of sunny out there.

I hope J.D. surfs a little higher for you and keeps eating. I hope you can get out for that walk with the kitties today.

J.D. has kept me a little busy, and I had company over at the same time.

261 AMPS - did not want what was served (gave cypro at +0.25)
ate 1/4 can FF Chunky Turkey with 1/8 tsp. Miralax at +1
Ate some FF and some leftover food from yesterday at +2.5
151 +3
78 +4 - ate 1/4 can FF and applied cat toothpaste
46 +4.75 - ate some food
45 +5 - ate some food
42 +5.5 - ate some food
37 +5.75 - ate more than 1/4 can MC FF Medleys (shared 1/2 can with Ginger and J.D. ate most of it)
40 +6 - ate less than 1/4 can MC (shared 1/2 can with Ginger and I think she got more than him, this time around)
+40 +6.25 - ate more than 1/4 can HC FF Beef Feast In Gravy (shared 1/2 can with Ginger and J.D. sucked most of it up in less than 30 seconds)

Re: 02/01 J.D. +5.75=37(MC) +6=40(MC) +6.25=40(HC) +6.75=63

Poor kitty must be tired of all the pokes.
Now that he's up a little, I'm going to take the kitties for a walk.

Wow! What a day to spend a Caturday.    I hope JD stays surfing in that nice safe green zone for a while.

Enjoy the walk.

Oh, my. J.D., what's going on? We want good healing numbers. You over shot it a bit. Come on now, let's give mama a break and not do this again, ok?

Re: 02/01 J.D. +5.75=37(MC) +6=40(MC) +6.25=40(HC) +6.75=63

J.D., I think you took Angela just a little too literally. Glad to see you're coming up a bit. Why don't you surf for a while and let your poor ears (and your mamabean) have a rest?

When you describe Ginger standing on the step meowing, I can just picture her, so pretty in that coat, but a pouting expression on her lovely face! Ginger, don't begrudge J.D. his exercise! Get down there and join him!

Good luck with the squirrels vs. the birds, Dyana!

Re: 02/01 J.D. +7.25 72, +8 110

We had a nice long walk. Every time we got close to home, J.D. turned around and went back out again, so I just followed him.

This morning, I only saw two young squirrels and was afraid those were the only one that survived the cold, but now, all my squirrels friends and their friends are out there, and I have gone through a lot of peanuts today :)

J.D. had a bowl of freeze dried chicken (his 2nd bowl of it today) when we got back from the walk, and at +8, he was hungry again and licking what remained out of a bowl, so I offered him some Authority Beef and he ate it. I'll have to try more of that Authority, since it is lower phosphorus than the FF. He'll eat the Friskies SD Turkey & Giblets sometimes. If I find some more of the Authority varieties that are lower in phosphorus that he'll eat, that would be great.

J.D. has gone to (my) bed. I think it's time for napping.

No coats today, the weather is a balmly 43 degrees and there are crashing noises everywhere (icicles falling?).
Today, I carried J.D. over the steps as I always do, because I don't want the salt that they put there on his feet. I guess Ginger didn't like the salt either. So because it was daylight, I didn't mind letting J.D.'s leash go and let him continue walking while I went back to get Ginger and carry her over the salt too. We all had a good walk. Ginger just meowed a little when she got behind.

Lots of squirrels out and about, and I think one of them is Mama :) And two of them were starting March's babies.

Re: 02/01 J.D. +7.25 72, +8 110

oh boy Dyana, you were busy. It took a little while to bring him up. .How did you manage company and testing. That's great about the walk.

Re: 02/01 J.D. +7.25 72, +8 110, +10.5 460

My company left earlier than expected. Probably because J.D. was getting all the attention

I gave him 2 drops of R at this 460.

While it was bright daylight, I checked my calipers against the middle of the Terumo syringe again, and the 0.95mm that I was giving him looked just like 1 unit or maybe just a hair less. I set the calipers for 0.75mm which if 1.00mm is 1 unit, then 0.75 is 0.75 unit. Anyway it looks like a hair under 0.75 with the best ability of my eyes in the daylight, so that's his new dose. I may shoot through the bounce tonight, though.

ETA: My spreadsheet unit names are just names, and probably don't make a lot of sense. I try to be consistant in dosing.

I guess I should run to the store before it gets dark outside.

Wow, you've had quite a busy day poking! I'm glad you got a nice nap, and a walk in with the kitties :-D Sounds like J.D. has a good appy today too, keep it up, J.D! Hopefully the bounce will clear fast for you...just not TOO fast, so the bean and the ears get a rest ;-) Have a nice night, Dyana!
