Yesterday, apparently she broke her bounce overnight. Yes Liz, you called it. It did look a little like the 1/28th cycles so I wasn't surprised this morning.

1/31 Recap:
AMPS 331 +9 318
PMPS 297 +5 295

As usual with a lower morning, lots of activity from Neko this morning. Very anxious to get her breffs. I not sure she even noticed I slipped a little baby food squash in there. I started that as a preventative measure now that she's on bupe. She seemed fine after her bupe last night, so the dose might be a good one. She hung out on the carpet near us while we were watching a show last night, longer than she normally does. I'm still waiting to see if it affects her jumping.

I'm still dose tinkering and took a drop off. I really don't like waking up to these surprise low numbers. I'd rather wake up to something in the 70/80s. Not sure I can achieve that, but a bean can hope.

Happy Caturday everyone. This bean will be doing a mellow day. I'm aching from my skate ski session yesterday and want to recover before heading up there again.

Thanks for visiting last night Marje, Liz, Catherine. Skate skiing is a style of cross country skiing that is a very good workout and supposed to be a good cross training exercise for rowing.

Re: 2/1 Neko 60

Wow, a bet that woke you up. I know she has the later onset with Levemir, but good idea to take a drop off. Surf safely Neko.

skate skiing does seem like a great work out.

Re: 2/1 Neko 60

Nothing like a 60 to wake a bean up before coffee.  ~O)

Paws crossed the dose experiments bring the best results.

Re: 2/1 Neko 60

WOW! That must have been a bit of a shock this morning!!

I'm with you though...I'd much rather have a number in the 70's or 80's than the 50's/60's!

It's been quite some time since I've seen one of these awarded! This looks like a good time though!

Winner of the BOS award for 2/1/14...Wendy!!

Hope you have a great Caturday and that Neko doesn't have anymore surprises for you!!

Re: 2/1 Neko 60 +2 78

That's the reward I was looking for you the other day  . I'm glad Neko is showing you greens! That's an awesome (if surprising  ) way to start the weekend. Keep it up, little girl  . I hope the bupe does the trick for the jumping! Even better that you got some squash in her  I would think with how she loves her fuds, that would count as a fud...silly kitties. Sending feel better muscles vines to you Wendy! Have a great Caturday :-D

Re: 2/1 Neko 60 +2 78 +5 66 +6 95

+2 78 +5 66 +6 95
And Neko floats along on the green wave. She was a little nervous and wanted to be tested at +5 but seems more relaxed now. Giving bupe still needs some work. She really doesn't like things in her mouth. Unless it's food.

@Catherine - The worst thing about a later nadir (sometimes has been +13 or +14) is that you are shooting the next cycle before you know how low the current one is taking you. I didn't take the drop off because this cycle was low, but because overall this dose has gotten too many low mornings where I don't know what her numbers have been doing. And yes, skate skiing is an amazing workout!

@Anne - A 60 does indeed wake you up. Almost as good a ~O) ~O) Love the cross country pic! I feel sore in all the spots I do when I row for the first time of the season, so it seems like a good cross training sport.

@Chris - I woke up to a 54 a few days ago, that was even more heart stopping. The immediate thought was, where was she 10 minutes ago? Neko often nadirs on or around PS. With Levemir it doesn't take as much BOS to shoot low, as there are still 4-5 hours until onset and you are feeding too.

@Carla - Neko still seems to be surfing nicely. :-D

@Rachel - Definitely a great start to the weekend, but I'm so glad we decided not to hit the mountain with friends this morning as I would have had to cancel. You are so right on the squash just being another fuds. I had tried her on a little pumpkin a while ago, just to see if she liked it so I was pretty sure she'd like the squash. Thanks for the muscle vines - I'm creaking today.

Re: 2/1 Neko 60 +2 78 +5 66 +6 95

   Woot Woot for Neko!!!
Hi Wendy!
Nice green!

I hope Neko feels better with bupe and start jumping soon!
I always ask for chicken flavored bupe (my vet gets it from a compounding pharmacy).
Lucy hates to have a syringe stuck in her mouth, but I think the flavored one made a difference.
Non-flavored bupe is supposed to taste bitter, so it made her hate being syringed even more.

Surf safely, Neko!!!
And have nice weekend, Wendy!

Beautiful surf today, Neko cat_pet_icon

For some reason your ss isn't showing me the last few days of numbers :-|

+8 89 +10 171 PMPS 207
And UP we go!! Part of me wants a bounce tonight, I'm still dragging from last night's skiing. I've gotten used to exercise in the AM. Neko seems to responding well to the bupe. She spent a lot of time at Nanner Central today. We have one rug in the LR where most of the nanners are laid out. After dinner and shot time, she went trotting over there again. :-D  And growled at the civie who dared to get close.

@Liz - She transferred over to the yellow team with Zener tonight.

@Mariko - Thanks for the tip on the bupe! I get a script for bupe on Monday to take to the compounding pharmacy and I'll ask for chicken flavour. I'm trying Northmount Pharmacy for the first time.

@Dyana - Surf was great while it lasted, just not as spectacular as JD's. I think I fixed the SS, for some reason Publish Changes to the Web got turned off.

Hi Wendy,
What a day for Neko (and you!). Good luck with the shave. I'm thinking of taking Rusty down a drop, too, but am going to hold off just a bit more.

I'd like to learn skate skiing, but I'm still not very great at "classic" x-c. I used to rollerblade and that was good exercise, especially uphill! Have you seen Nordic skates? They affix to your x-c ski boots and you iceskate on them (apparently the blades are thicker than ice skates and your feet are very close to the ice). They rent them in Lake Placid for use on Mirror Lake and some friends and I would like to try them. If I try that and curling this year I will have added 2 more possibilities for winter fun!

Have a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

Yo Neko, you moved to the Yellow Team. Where will you be tomorrow morning?
~ Rusty

@Rusty - I'm thinking of yellow or pink for tomorrow. Pink is my favorite colour. ~Neko

@Ella - I think I tried classic once in grade 7 and have only done downhill skiing since then. Our closest x-c ski hill is pretty hilly so skate skiing is growing in popularity here. I haven't seen the Nordic skates, but there are people who roller ski in the summer.
