Yesterday, a low green start with a nice green surf, then late in the date the bounce started. Today it continues. ohmygod_smile

2/1 Recap:
AMPS 60  +2 78  +5 66  +6 95  +8 89  +10 151
PMPS 207 +4 381

In addition to being Groundhog Day, it's also save a strip day at our house. Neko with a pink start on Lev means the beans have a permission slip to get a way for a while. The mountain was calling this morning. So once again I'm sore, partly due to a rather spectacular splat. :o On the plus side, we did make it all around the lower loop for the first time and I got to show DH the old 1926 ski lodge. The sun didn't come out until after noon so we are hoping for an early spring below the mountain top.

Neko was frighted to see us back, due to our ski pant swishy noises. But she came running out of the bedroom when I opened the fridge door to get her much delayed +3 meal. And shortly after that was back at her nanners.

I hope everyone is having a spectacular Sunday. We bought chips and are ready to cheer on the team closest to this town.

Re: 2/2 Neko AMPS 353

@Linda - We were on the cross country trails at Cypress Mountain this morning. A trip to Whistler would be pushing it for a day trip in between shots.

Re: 2/2 Neko AMPS 353

Beautiful greens yesterday! Come on down Neko, that pink isn't pretty :o I guess save a strip day works... Sorry about the splat! I hope you can work out those ouchies and feel better tonight!

Poor Neko, I don't blame her for running, those swishy ski pants are scary! ;-) Fuds overcomes all, I see  . Have a great evening Wendy! I hope there is dip for those chips!

Re: 2/2 Neko AMPS 353

I hope Neko clears the bounce soon. That's nice you were able to take advantage of it and get out today.

Nice of Neko to give you a save a strip day. Glad to read you got out to Cypress Mountain to enjoy the weather. Our kitties are scared of those swishy swish sounding outdoor winter pants too.

I wear quiet wool!!!
Neko, it's nice to see that you made it off the Pink Team, but you left it without it's skipper!!

Wendy, it's great that you got out on your skis. I still haven't been out on mine. We really need snow here.

That was quite a football game.

See you tomorrow. Hope you're not too sore,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Wendy,
Sounds like you and your DH had a nice sporty Sunday!

That's funny Neko was frightened to see you in the swishy ski pants.
But that''s cute.
Ginger gets frightened ig I wrap a big bath towel on my head.

:o Hope the splat doesn't cause too much discomfort! What a wonderful sounding day other than that though! And too funny on Neko hiding from the scary swishies only until the fridge door opened  Love that land shark!! Would sure be nice if the greenies had a fridge door so she wouldn't go bouncing away from them!
I keep saying I'm going to start cross country skiing...but haven't yet. And with the constant wind here and bitter cold, I'm not sure if I would. I need to really start looking for an affordable pair of skis so at least they are here if the weather ever cooperates :-D
Have a great night! Woot Seahawks!! (Finally!!!)

Neko was hanging around us while we were watching the game. Lots of nanner play and not so subtle hints that she thought it was dinner time. She really does seem to feel better with it. And I feel like such a heel for not starting it ages ago.

@Rachel - Lately it seems that pink is the penalty for those lovely greens. I landed on my tailbone. Ouch! Getting up and down is hard but getting better. Arnica Gel to the rescue.

@Carla - Gotta see the up side of bounces or I'd get too depressed.

@Anne - I expect we won't be using many strips tonight either. Maybe it'll mean some good sleep. The pants are just Gortex or thin nylon but still noisy. Cypress cross country trails just opened two weeks ago - not enough snow.

@Ella - Pink team might get it's skipper back soon. I've been renting skis as this is the first year I've done cross country. We need more snow on the mountains here too, not all the trails are open yet. We just use rowing gear for skiing, under a shell pant and top. Get too hot for wool pants. Game was great - I think all of Vancouver are Seahawks fans. I'm using arnica on my ouchie.
