Good Monday Morning LL! I had an good weekend, nice to be away from work.
Mary is still looking much better on her numbers but still not to the greens yet! We got close again last night(102 @ +5 PMPS)
Thanks for the replies and visits Friday. Sandy that was a great layout you did to compare the last two weeks. I really appreciate it. It helped to see it in that format that yes indeed we are making progress. Thanks for taking the time. Like Julie said I do work M-F 8-5 with a 30 min drive. I give her shots extra early in the morning (but also 5:45 pm) so I can at least get a plus two before I leave for work. I try to fill in the other gaps as much as possible during the weekend. I liked that on Saturday she held the 170's for a nice surf there.

OT: I am going to post this question in the general board as well but does anyone have any idea as to how to get a kitty out of a storm grate? Across the street from my home is a retirement home and I saw this man trying to get into the grate. To make a long story short, his beloved Emily jumped from the 2nd floor balcony and somehow must have ended up in the storm grate. He can not see or hear her (neither could I ) except at around midnight. I got security to take the grate off and put cones around it an put a rope attached to a nearby rail inside the hole. Any ideas?
Hope everyone has a lovely day! Thanks again for all the visits, replies and support. When I think about how much insulin Mary is requiring now, I shiver to think what would have happened if I had not found FDMB! THANKS!!!

Hi guys ...it's always so nice when we actually start to see progress on our kitties SS's .. you guys are doing great, just keep up the hard work! That is awful to hear about the kitty down in the storm grate .. is there any chance you could contact the water department and see if maybe they could get down in there to see if they could catch the cat? It might be worth a call just in case ..

Thanks Devon for the visit and reply. I will call the water dept tomorrow and see what they may do. Great idea. I went over there when I got home and asked the receptionist but she hadn't heard anything. I might try to get down there myself but will have to wait, it is sleeting now.. Hope you have a great night.

oh poor baby. i hope you'll give us an update when kitty gets out. all i can think of is something like a board put down there, maybe with some cleats nailed to it so she can get a hold to climb out. brrrr.

i'd called a 102 teal! and good too! :-D congrats on the good numbers!

yes, i felt lucky a zillion times over for the help i had with punkin. who knows how long he'd have lived if i hadn't found the people here?! my vet had never even heard of acromegaly. i doubt most ever encounter a cat with it - or if they do they don't know it.

Mary Grace's SS is looking so much paler lately, less dark pinks/reds. And that 102, I've called it emerald before - so close to green. :-D :-D

I remember a story here of police getting a cat out of a storm gate and I just googled a story of firemen getting one out in Portland. Actually, the poor fireman here even get called for more interesting situations. Skunks here keep on getting their heads caught in those big apartment garbage bin run off holes. So maybe the local firefighters might help?
