Was off the radar the last couple of days being lazy. Made an appointment for Sasha on Thursday. She is up and down. Oddly she is usually perkier in the evening hours than in the day time. She is still panting a lot, but is excited to go out, trots ahead on our walks and is eating. But all of those things in moderation. Someone said they had asked their vet when they would know its "time" and they told them when they stop doing everything they normally do. Using that as a gauge, it's hard to make a read on Sasha. She is still doing what she normally does, just a little less so. And then tonight, to throw a wrench in things, she was bouncing around like a puppy when I brought home Chick-fil-a. Nervous for the vet appointment.

Tiki has been up and down. Same ole, same ole.... :YMSIGH:

Re: 3/4 Tiki AMPS 365, +8 181, PMPS 336,

We had to help our two k9 friends cross last year. I struggled with the same questions. I guess I would say you should trust your gut. You are closest to Sasha and she will tell you when it's time. Make sure your heart is ok with it and she will cross safely. From what you're saying, it doesn't sound like she's ready yet to me. You will do right by her and she knows you only want the best. I say feed her all the Chick Filet she wants!

Thanks Tara, I agree. I feel like she's not ready either. I'm scared I'm going to be pressured by the vet to do it sooner than we are both ready. But to be real, I'm never going to be ready.

Settle down Tiki - how about a nice blue surf tonight?

I saved a link that I think it was Sienne posted a while ago, on deciding when. At the time a friend of mine was going through the tough decision for her dog. Good luck with the vet. :YMHUG:
