Yesterday's rainbow slide into the lagoon

Day two of night duty bean on morning duty. So far I've given Zener and Tillie their own meds and the right fuds. Zener decided to have a little PJ party last night just to help me get in BIC shape right away. No slowly breaking in. We finished the lantus pen last night and this morning started Ole's vial that Rebekah brought to us. I had forgotten how slippery those little buggers can be. Fortunately, we have a little neoprene sleeve that holds the vial, so I didn't drop it...well, not too far...just the cabinet top and not the floor.

Liz arrived in Indianapolis and the winter weather advisory warnings did not pan out to very much snow or travel disruptions. I am so grateful she can be there to help her cousin, dealing with a large family at funerals can be a challenge. It is such a sad time.

Anita vaccuum cleaner comes today, the kitties are pretty good about everything until the dreaded loud sucker machine comes out. She does that last. Happy Fursday LL.

Re: 3/13 Zener AMPS 247

Nice sunny start for Zener. Nice on the right meds / fuds with the right kitty. Sometimes that is a huge challenge. Looks like you need a btb though with all those nice greens last night. Zener was just excited to have you to himself.

Glad to hear Liz made it safely. Comfort vines being sent by the dozens.

Re: 3/13 Zener AMPS 247

Good morning, Anne,
Very happy to hear that you are awake and didn't drop the vial on the floor! Rebekah is a sweetie to honor Ole's memory by bequething his insulin to one of his pals.
Glad to hear that Liz arrived safely and that the storm wasn't bad in Indianapolis. Sending our sympathy to her family.

Now, Z Man, enjoy your bounce and don't go any higher, OK?

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Oh ugh! Come on Z, don't call for the ropes again today! You can do it! That is quite high enough!

I know on the mornings and getting the right foods and meds, I've had more than enough of my own! Fortunately it doesn't matter if Izzy gets some of Emma's l-lysine. I'm glad that Liz made it to Indy safely and the snow didn't cause travel problems. Keeping her family in our hearts.

Those vials can be slippery. I'm glad you didn't drop it on the floor. I hope Zener clears the bounce soon. Hopefully you got a btb in after last night. I'm glad Liz made it safely. Sending prayers for her family.

Hmmmm...Zener is fairly flat there today....does he have big plans for tonight?

At the moment, Trix is the only one here on meds, but there have been times we've had multiple meds for multiple cats. I spent a lot of time talking out loud to myself, to make sure I gave the right med to the right cat.

I'm glad Liz arrived safely. Our prayers are with all of you...

Re: 3/13 Zener PMPS 281

I'm glad Liz had a safe trip  . I hope that Zener decides to come down a bit on a nice even slide to take it easy on his bean! ;-) . It sure made me  when you said the sleepy bean gave the right stuff to the right kitty. That's always good! . I'm glad that Rebekah was so kind to pass on the vial to you guys, so sweet of her. Paws crossed you get some zzzz's tonight, Anne. Have a good evening

Flat yellows are so much better than the flat 50's you had last night. Good luck with the special new vial from Rebekah.

I'm glad Liz arrived safely. She'll be such a help and comfort to her family.

It's always tough being the BIC 24/7. We all love green but love blue at night a little better.

I'm glad Liz made it safely. Please tell her that she and her family are in our prayers.

I agree about the flat yellows being better. No matter how much I'd prefer blues, it could be worse!

I, too, chuckled about giving the right fuds and meds to the right kitties. We have so many kitties on so many meds now that I have spreadsheets! I print them out and have them lined up on the counter with the meds so I can write down the time when the meds are administered. It helps keep me straight, as long as I remember to write it down!

Glad the weather didn't add to Liz's stresses. Sending more comfort vines for her as she deals with all the family issues and emotions that come with her loss. I'm sure it helps her to know that the BIC is doing such a great job! :-D
