Yesterday

Ok. So I decided to bump up Cobb's dose those morning. I also gave him .25units. I want to see how he responds to that dose at the beginning of the cycle instead of after the nadir. Not sure why the climb yesterday. Maybe the night before he dipped further than I thought and it was a little bounce? Just don't know.

Cobb did get his shot a bit late this morning. Matty was sleeping on my arm last night so I could prop his head up. He is a snotty, coughy boy. And since he didn't feel well, I didn't want to wake him. So we are about 30 minutes behind schedule today. We'll readjust tomorrow morning, or we may just keep it at 7:30. Matty slept later than normal yesterday too, but he was starting to get sick.

My parents are coming over this evening to Mattysit while we take Cobb to the vet on Saturday. I told Matty he had a lot of aunties on FDMB that I'm sure would come over and watch him if they lived closer!

Happy Thursday everyone! One more day until the weekend!

Good morning Suzanne - well, it is in my part of the world. It's also the 27th here too. ;-)

Good luck on that L increase, paws crossed for a little less pink and a bit more blue in Cobb. I'm interested in your R experiments. I never did get into R, perhaps I should have, but there is more experience around now.

Healing vines to the men in your house - I hope you don't get it. I think it would be great to meet Matty, but a bit of a long trip.

i too, would volunteer to be auntie that babysits! if only i were closer!

Interesting response to the R. I think I would consider giving it another try after the nadir of this cycle to see if you can get him down into blues. are you liking having the R in your "toolbox?"

Dang it Wendy!! It is the 27th here too!

Julie, I'm still undecided on the R. I'd like to see a better response. But I like it when I know I'm stopping a climb.

Just think...Georgia is warm and sunny! None of that pesky snow (usually...this year was an exception). The cover comes off my swimming pool next week! Not warm enough to swim, but it's pretty!!

we're having wave after wave of storms coming in from the coast - there's 100% chance of rain for the next several days. so i'm going to predict we're going to have rain! Wendy and I usually have the same weather - Michelle/Mannie is in between us in Washington. It's indoor activities for now, so i'm a bit jealous of the idea of a pool!

I gave another .25units of R at +7.25. He was holding steady and not rising so maybe it'll bring him down a bit more.

Re: 3/27 Cobb AMPS 307 +7.25 268 (.25R) +8.5 235 +10.25 188

WOW he is really liking that R. Great numbers cobb!

Pools here in MN are called ice rinks.

Re: 3/27 Cobb PMPS 189

Pools? We have them in the streets in the form of huge potholes and at the moment they are covered by ice.

Looks like life is interesting figuring out Cobb's dose(es). I hope that Matty and Matt will be feeling better soon.

Hang in there, Suzanne!

Re: 3/27 Cobb PMPS 189

You all are missing out! The South is where it is at!! :-) it is going to be in the 70s all next week. Woot!!

Ella, Matt is now in what he calls "phase 3" of being sick. It's when the cough hacks up the chest congestion. Gross I know. But that means, according to him, it's almost over. He refuses to believe that you can develop allergies, although he tried to claim he must have developed an allergy to cats and that's why we can't have any more. It may take a little time, but I'll ultimately win that argument. As for Matty, I wish I could teach him how to blow his nose. The two things I disliked about kids before I had my own: snotty noses and that ear piercing squeal. I can honestly say, while I love my son more than words can say, I still dislike the snotty noses, and that ear pitching squeal I could live without!

Re: 3/27 Cobb PMPS 189

so the pmps was 5 hrs after the R - looking great so far! i think Cobb just knocked his bounce off at the knees! :-D
of course he had a little help from you too!

Re: 3/27 Cobb PMPS 189

Love that PMPS! Nice job on the R this time.

Tell Matt that you can get allergy shots for cats. Having cats is so worth it. Gotta work on Cobb giving Matt some lovin'.

Hey Julie - we've got sunshine here now and I was on that big pool we call the ocean this morning. ;-) Of course, it doesn't warm up for a few months yet.

Re: 3/27 Cobb PMPS 189

i tested allergic to cats at one point - they added "cat" to the other things in my allergy shot mix and VOILA - no more cat allergy. i'm not convinced i was allergic even then, but the doc took exception to my sweet kitter sleeping on the pillow next to me.

regardless, cats are worth it. what is sneezy suffering compared to the love of a cat?

btw, i never got over the snotty nose phobia. i was fanatic about wiping it because it's just disgusting!  i had a friend who would use her hand to wipe her boys' noses if she didn't have a tissue. not me. blech.
