Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night after he stopped meowing (I think something spooked him, possibly the lounger?). This morning we have a green AMPS, so I think the bounce has finally cleared. We had a good morning routine, a nice schmooze, and he's napping in his little bed by the radiator. We'll see what happens with the lounger today. Last night I put it back into the dining room (where we unwrapped it and where the picture was taken) because he was so pointedly ignoring it.

It looks to be evolving into a beautiful spring day. Temperature is supposed to get up to 60!! Rusty may want to go outside later.

Wishing you all a good day. Thanks for all the visits yesterday,

Ella & Rusty

Welcome back to the lagoon, Rusty!   You never know how a kitty will react to something new. Could be anything.  Enjoy your day! That chair will be falling any day now...

Re: 4/10 Rusty AMPS 91

A spring day and he heads straight to the Lagoon! Way to go Rusty!

I hope you all get to go out and enjoy the day.

Re: 4/10 Rusty AMPS 91, +5.5 55

After lunch Rusty went to the new lounger and lounged for a while. I had put it back in the living room where all of the rest of his things are. Fingers crossed he will come to like it.

The LagoonMeister is on duty today. After we get back from taking Edward to the chiropractor we'll see if the Laird wants to venture outside.

bbl,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. Am very busy with computer stuff right now. Edward's computer (a PC) runs Windows XP, which is no longer considered (by Microsoft) to be internet-safe. On 8 April they discontinued support for that version of the operating system. Edward is going to switch to a Mac (at my urging), so we are doing research.

Re: 4/10 Rusty AMPS 91, +5.5 55

All hail the Lagoonmeister! Show us how it's done, Rusty - surf it safe! I think he really likes the new lounger, but being a cat, doesn't want to be so undignified as to show too much enthusiasm. He does look glorious on it.

It's too bad Microsoft has abandoned XP users. I was dragged, kicking and screaming, into Windows 8 when I got my new computer last year, and I hate it! I've learned to live with it, but I don't have to like it. Not sure I'd want to make such a drastic switch to Mac, though. Everything we have is PC based, and my husband is a geek, so we have a LOT of computers in our house. Hope all goes well with Edward's transition.

Have a great day, Ella!

Re: 4/10 Rusty AMPS 91, +5.5 55, +8.5 29(!)

Auto reduction tonight. I fed him some of his LC with a drop of Karo and will retest in a few minutes. The blood sample was very small, so maybe the 29 was a bad reading.

Holy moly, that is an eye opener!! COngrats on the reducie - and lounge on your lounger, Rusty!

Whoa Rusty! No need to make a huge spectacle when returning to the Lagoon.

Dramarama!   My laptop that died was running XP too. :-x Anne is going to get a new Mac and I'm going to get her old one.

Wow on the 29. I'm glad Rusty is surfing a little higher now. I hope Rusty will decide to use the new lounger. I hate the Microsoft ended support for XP and is forcing upgrades to Windows 8. I have Windows 7, but don't want to have to upgrade to Windows 8. 7 will be next on their hit list.

 Good catch! The LagoonMeister is patrolling all corners of his domain! Did he get outside to sniff the spring breezes today?

We've bee Macheads since our first computer in '86. Does Edward want a big screen desktop? Or can he get by w/ a laptop. They really are as powerful as most people need now. i love my new MacBook Air.

Re: 4/10 Rusty PMPS 76, reducie

Hi again,

We are holding Rachel in our hearts this evening as her sweet Chyna journeys to the Bridge.

Rusty got a reduction tonight to a straight 1.5 units (2.22mm on the digital calipers, Terumo syringe). Normally I would have reduced him by only a drop--to a fat 1.5 units (2.33mm), but he has been angling for the reduction since before our trip to NYC (which set him back a bit), and the 29 today was hard to ignore! We'll see what happens after his shed reduces.

He spent some time on his lounger this afternoon, so I think he is going to accept it (or maybe he's just trying to please me!) whatever!

It was a beautiful afternoon here, but there wasn't much time to do anything in the good weather. Tomorrow I have to take my car in for servicing and to have the snow tires taken off, the brakes cleaned, and the salt removed from underneath. So I'll have lots of time to walk while I'm waiting for the car. I hope my knee holds out!

Edward is going to get a Mac desktop. He has low vision and has to run a magnification program, therefore needs a big screen so that he can see more than 1 word at a time. His Windows PC running XP is 7 years old, so is getting creaky. My MacBook laptop is also 7 years old, but I love it. I may, however, consider getting a MacBook air so I can help Edward with the most recent edition of the Mac X OS (Mavericks; at present I am running Snow Leopard and there are things that it can't do).

Everyone have a good evening,

Re: 4/10 Rusty PMPS 76, reducie

Holy moly Rusty, are you and Gracie in kitty cahoots to shock your beans?

I am going to get a MacBook air too in a few weeks, and Liz will get my 17" MacBook Pro. I love it but it is not a good laptop for all the international travel I do, far too big and heavy. At the same time, I'm going to get a Mac Desktop for home use and use a 15" MacBook air for traveling. So fun to get new technology!

Re: 4/10 Rusty PMPS 76, reducie

Yowza! Rusty's been taking lessons from Gracie.  I hope he surfs safely tonight. Good plan on the slightly larger reduction.

I used to have a PC running XP until the graphics chip died and then DH convinced me to get a Mac laptop cause he's the guy who does the PC maintenance and he'd rather support a Mac - so much easier. Good luck with Edward's "upgrade".

Be careful of the knee tomorrow. Cool to hear the snow tires are coming off. :-D

Rusty...you wanted a little attention today, huh?! Well, you got it! Congrats on the reduction. :-D Looking good tonight. Sleep well and enjoy that beautiful weather you guys are having.

Hi Ella - beautiful day for Rusty! I'm sorry I have missed so many of your condos. I read the subject lines, just never seem to get enough time to post once I've updated mine. Good luck to Edward as he begins the transition to Mac. Hope he likes it.

Rut ro! Rusty gets a lounger like Gracies and then Rusty goes to 29 like Gracie  I don't thin I've ever seen Rusty that low. I wish I could say I've never seen Missy G that low!

I hope he liked his lounger more each day. He looked very handsome on it.

Now we are ordering smurgle muffins

OMG, Rusty! Didn't you read my comments on your condo earlier! You were supposed to surf safely, and 29 is not safe! Congrats on the reducie. Now you behave yourself, okay? Mama needs sleep!
