Good Morning, Everyone,

We woke up this morning to 13 degrees F. and about 2 inches of heavy, wet snow. Spring is taking a break! Rusty is snuggled in his little bed by the radiator. The chickadees, goldfinches, cardinals, junkos and squirrels are all at the birdfeeders. No robins are singing this morning (I hope they survived and can find food). Yesterday, when it was 58 degrees in the morning, we had 2 flickers on our lawn. They are beautiful birds. The sun is shining and the high is expected to be in the 30s. I'm wondering if the bike ride will take place tomorrow. The high tomorrow is supposed to be in the 50s, but the low tonight is going to be in the teens and I don't think it's going to get very warm by the time the ride begins!

Rusty had a good morning routine and is starting the day with his toes in the lagoon. His report on the big party last night is appended below.

Continuing to send healing vines to all who need them, good thoughts to Cinco for his oncologist appointment, and comfort to Rachel, Betty and Lauren, whose kitties celebrated their first full moon with their friends at the Bridge.

Wishing all a good day,

Ella & Rusty

Yo Kitties and Beans,
We had the greatest time celebrating the Full Pink Moon last night in Arizona, by the shores of Lake Mary. Zener and Tillie were fabulous hosts. The gang had a good time catching fish for the sushi bar and playing in the shallows of the lake (it was too cold for swimming, but there were rowboats there and Neko taught us all how to row). The picnic tables were set out by the bonfire. We were careful with the fire because it is fire season in Arizona. Kitties on the Fire Squad were standing by with buckets of water. KT and Dakota brought their dune buggy and gave rides. Dancing under the Full Pink Moon and the stars was great, and the Blue Mannie Group put on a terrific concert. Best of all was our Circle of Remembrance. The air was so clear that we could see our GAs through the veil. They were feasting on Chefs Mannie's and Stu's celestial fuds and the Bridge Chorus under Moonie's direction sounded glorious. We saw all of our friends who have recently arrived at the Bridge and all of them send their love to their Beans. And we saw all of our old pals.

Thank you, Zener and Tillie, for hosting this wonderful party. Thanks to all the kitties who helped out with the preparations and the cleanup. Next month's full moon is the Full Flower Moon, so get your thinking caps on for a good venue and menu suggestions.

Re: 4/16 Rusty AMPS 100, +5.5 44; full moon party report

Rusty will get a 1-drop reducie either tonight or tomorrow morning. This 44 is the 3rd number under 50 on the present dose (this is cycle 12 on this dose, which I call 1.5 Units [2.22mm on the digital calipers, Terumo syringe]). For his effort Rusty got some Canidae Pure Elements for lunch. He gobbled it up. I think it is about 9 or 10% carbs, so we'll see what it does to his bgs. He really liked it the last time he had it.

Icy cold this morning on our walk to the post office. My car, which I unfortunately left outside of the garage yesterday, is encased in a block of snow-covered ice!

GO RUSTY!  Congrats on the reduction. Surf safe now Rusty!

Ice encased car? Brrr!! I hope the weather warms up quickly so you can get out on your bike, but it sounds like it will be pretty messy.

Neko told me that she saw Tommy and Chyna and Hank having a great time with their new GA friends. We do miss them all.

Congrats on the reducie. It sounds like you might have to postpone your bike ride until it warms up.

Yay for the reducie! I hope Rusty does well on it. It looks like it was a beautiful surf today. Paws crossed for another safe surf tonight! Come on, Rusty, you're not far from the lagoon. Slide back into it, buddy.

Not so yay on the snow... :YMSIGH: I hope it warms up so that you can still ride tomorrow.

Have a great night, Ella!

Re: 4/16 Rusty +9.5 61, PMPS 108; Full Moon Party Report

Holding Pat, her DH, and Raja in our hearts tonight. Their wonderful Shadow is at the Bridge. Fly free, dear boy!

Rusty got a reducie tonight (1 drop) and we'll see how he does with it. The bike ride is going to go on, so I'm busy getting my stuff together. It will be warmer than today, but still chilly for the beginning of the ride. Stay tuned!

Sounds like it was a great party. Cinco is so sorry he had to miss it. Hopefully he can mat the next one. Looks to me like someone didn't get enough partying in last night, as he's throwing a PJ party tonight! Surf safely, Lagoonmeister! It's too late at night for that tomfoolery!

Hi Ella - sorry I missed yesterday. Looks like Rusty had a great day. Congrats on the reducie too! Well done Rusty! Enjoy your ride today! I hope it is fun, weather is good. :-D
