We're having another crappy appy start to the day, but she has eaten a bit. She did go through her morning rituals and snuggles, she has taken all her meds (with pill pockets, so that probably fills her up a bit since she has 5 of them) and overall I do think she is much better. We just need to work on this appy component. I gave her an eighth of a cypro and am waiting for it to kick in. It seems to take the cypro a bit longer for it to start working with her than it does for others...maybe closer to an hour. She ultimately ate pretty well last night, but she really still needs to be encouraged - 99% of the time I need the hold the plate up and remind her to eat, but she is often fairly enthusiastic about it. She just doesn't seem to want to go for it on her own if I leave a plate and walk away. And she still will only eat small quantities at a time, which is probably better for her little body right now. I think SHE would be happier, too, if she ate on her own....she's not always a fan of all this attention and a nagging bean. If she ate, she'd have more of her personal space back to herself!
This is all making for one very, very exhausted bean. My head is pounding and the thought of going to work (and teaching today) is stressful.
Elise - to answer your question from yesterday's condo: The 1/4 of a cypro tablet didn't make Trix vocal, but she did seem somewhat restless. She wanted to eat, came looking for food, but wasn't committing to too much. In between snacks, she was having a harder time relaxing. However, she did eat better during the evening hours, so I do wonder if that was the tail end of that 1/4 tablet working well.
Gonna try to get her to munch a bit, then BTB.....
Have a great day, LL.
