Good morning from the rainy Big Apple,

Rusty had a good night, ate all his nighttime fuds, and woke us up this morning with the robins. Way too early! He may have thought we are going home today, but that's not until Saturday.

My friend made the right call by having the ride to Wave Hill yesterday instead of today! It's raining hard and it is miserable riding in the city in the rain: drivers are always more agressive when it rains! Don't yet know what I'll do today. Edward is in the library. I have to go to Trader Joes at some point, so maybe I'll go to a museum and then hit TJ's.
My new MacBook Air is burning a hole in the box, but I don't want to set it up until I'm home with our home wireless network. Rusty is enjoying playing with the outer box!

Wishing all a good day. News yesterday about our friend Jean : she has an enormous uphill road and her recovery will take months. I hope she can recover enough eventually to resume her outdoor activities. She's 88 years old and a fabulous xc skier, climber/hiker, paddler, cyclist, sailer, etc. she is the role model for all of us in our group of friends. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Ella & Rusty

Yo kitties, let's fish for eels from the East River walkway today and go to the Metropolitan Museum to visit our ancestors in the Egyptian Galleries this afternoon.
Rusty.

Nice sunny start for Rusty on a dreary day. I'm glad you got the ride in yesterday. Once when we went to NYC, it rained for 3 days straight and it was miserable the whole time. Not walking friendly when it is raining with all the auto traffic as well. Enjoy your day!!More healing vines for Jean.

Rusty - time to ease on down to the blues. Eels are easier to catch when kitties blend in with the blue water.

Enjoy the indoor activities today. Walking is OK in the rain but biking can be miserable. Tons of healing vines to Jean, sounds like she'll be doing lots of physio to get back doing all she does. That's impressive that she still participates in so many sports.

Yo Rusty - Eels sound yummy and I really want to go to the museum and see what life was like when we cats were worshiped as the gods we are. ~Neko

Looks like Rusty is prepare for the rain w/ his yellow slicker, but Wendy is right, come on down or the eels will see you!

:-D :-D :-D You'll love the MacAir! So nice and light and fast (well, except on the Board lately!) What do you have for WiFi? I'd suggest the AirPort w/ Time Machine backup, if you don't already have it. I learned the hard way that even Macs need to be backed up! I had copies of my files, but on an older Mac I couldn't reinstall the system to where I had it, because the old system was no longer supported or available. So I got the computer working, but it wouldn't run my new programs that needed the upgraded OS!

Yummmmmm! Eels! Sushi time!!!! Bring your knives Neko! confused_cat Still no Swan Boats! We may have to take a trip to Boston after all! -- Tess, still wanting to ride in a Swan!

I wondered how you were going to stand it after you were so impressed with Edward's new computer.  Many more vines for Jean. It will be a long haul but being active will help a lot. Zener misses you in the lagoon, Rusty.

Hi guys! looks like Rusty is doing a slow steady decline, I hope he comes down to some nice blues for you!

I will keep your friend Jean in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: 5/8 Rusty AMPS 250, +5.5 226

Too bad the rain is limiting your activities, but I'm sure in NYC you can find a dry alternative for today.

Nice start to a slide, Rusty. Now keep it going!

Sending more vines for Jean. I agree that she has a good foundation for recovery with as active as she's been - she must be in excellent shape for any age, let alone 88!

Have fun today, Ella!

I hope Rusty keeps sliding down. Sending prayers for Jean.

I love visiting our ancestors. Count me in.

Keeping your friend in my prayers, Ellen. I hope you found something to do today...someplace nice and dry and warm and away from the aggressive drivers! I love that Rusty is enjoying your MacBook box! Have a great evening!

I will keep your friend in my prayers. Do you visit the city often? Rusty is making his way down. Good Rusty.

Thanks for keeping our friend Jean in your thoughts and prayers. I know it will help.

Rusty had a good day today, as did we. It rained, but not heavily, so I was able to get a lot of errands done. Got to TJ's for my wasabe mayo!! Tomorrow I have my last doctor appt. amd will combine it with a walk in Central Park. Home on Saturday.
To answer Catherine's question, yes, we get back to the city about every 6 weeks or so. We love our retirement life in the Adirondacks, but the city is home, too.

Wishing all a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

Yo kitties, we're snacking on eel sushi on the roof deck. Neko and Tess have a great sushi bar set up. All invited.
