Yesterday's Condo

Another lovely cycle. I could get used to this! I'm almost afraid to say that everything seems to be going well. The only thing is that i still think Cinco isn't getting enough water. This morning's poo looked a little too dry to me. I've been adding plenty of water to his food, but I just don't think he's drinking any on his own. I'm pretty sure he knows where the new water dispenser is - he has to walk right by it to get to the lb from his favorite spot on the sofa, so surely he's bumped into it once or twice. I may have to set him down in front of it and splash him a little or something to show him it's there. I really don't think he needs sub-qs, but he does need some more water. Of course I'm never satisfied, just like Chris and Amy and probably just about everyone else here! :roll:

Look at all those pretty blues and greens. Go Cinco. I hope you can find a way to get him to drink more water.

Very pretty cycle last night and today's is nice too!

I don't think we're asking that much...I mean like I said in my reply in my condo, I'm giving her a 54 point spread (between 45-99)

Buster hardly ever drinks water from the bowl since I've started adding water to his food. His poo looks pretty good though. Maybe add some fish oil? I'm sure an extra hug couldn't hurt, either cat_pet_icon

Looks like Cinco is trying to do a repeat of this morning's cycle. That would be okay with me!

Tara, I put a few drops of fish oil in his breakfast. I'll try to give him a little every day and see if that makes any difference. Thanks.

Ideal cycle during the day. Nice upper blue surf tonight. Almost good enough for an early snooze.

My civie is similar to Cinco - dryish poops. And he never drinks from the water bowl, even though he can see them. I started adding a tiny bit of babyfood squash to his food (since I was already adding it to Neko's), and that seems to be helping.

What is this with the dry poop? I've been giving Max miralax every morning. I think I'm going to start back with the squash again too.Max likes it too so maybe Cinco will ass well. I also already add water to his meals. I swear nowhere else could I discuss this and not be considered strange by my friends and family. Well, on the yahoo lists it's okay. LOL.

Thanks, Wendy and Elise. I have added squash to his food in the past, but stopped because his poos were normal and regular. It's only been this one that was dry, and he was constipated earlier this week, the time he strained so hard to poo that he threw up. In between he had a normal poo. I'll just have to see how the next one goes. I think I will do the fish oil for a day or two, since I started that already, and if it's dry again the next time, I'll get some more of the squash. I have the Miralax on hand, too. I've offered him a water bowl a couple times today and he wasn't interested, but I spilled a little water on his food dish and he lapped that up (probably because there was a little bit of food left on there and he could smell and taste it). I put as much water in his food as I can without making soup!

You're right, Elise. Where else can we talk about poo like this and not be considered strange (not that we aren't, but everyone else here is, too, so we're in good company!)?! :lol:

Wendy, I checked him at +5, hoping for a slide, but since he was still in high blues, I declared a moratorium on pokes until AMPS. I'm enjoying an adult beverage and a little mindless TV, and then ni-ni! I-)
