Good Evening, Everyone,

We hope you all are having a good weekend. Rusty is having a bit of a bounce today, or should we call it a "rest day". The weather turned cold and sunny and windy and all of that murk and rain are gone. Rusty held the fort today while the beans were out on a paddle. He enjoyed some outdoor time in the late afternoon. I discovered the reason why Chip Chip's cheeks were so stuffed with sunflower seeds (see the pic in yesterday's condo): I had forgotten to put the lid back on the seed bucket!!!

Our paddle was terrific: 5 ponds of various sizes and a wonderful, winding outlet from one pond to another. Saw lots of red-winged blackbirds in this wetland area. The wind crossing the largest pond was fierce, but exhilarating. Sorry, no pics. My camera was buried in my pack.

Wishing you all a good evening and heading over to visit some condos. No word on how Jean is in the nursing home. Her family is with her this weekend.

Hopefully Rusty will get back to the lagoon soon. I'm glad you had a good paddle. I'm sure Chip-Chip was delighted to find you forgot to put the lid back on.

Keeping Jean and her family in my prayers.

I wish our rest days were as good as Rusty's. Perhaps the lagoon later tonight?

That was a cute pic of ChipChip yesterday, his cheeks were very full. Good to know why now.

Sounds like you had a great workout paddling today!

Hi Ella ~O)

I LOVE blue resting days... those were always my favs. It looks like a great resting day for Rusty.

Your paddle sounds wonderful. Bummer on the no pics, but buried cameras are just that. You will have to get one of those neck chain things so it is easily accessible. Tough I suspect you are involved with paddling... I am glad you both had a great time.

HAHA on Chip Chip. Well done little one. I'd stuff my cheeks too!

Have a fun evening!

If that's a bounce, I'd like all Cinco's to be like that, please! ;-) Looks like it's been cleared and Rusty is having an evening swim. Keep it safe, Rusty! It gets chilly in the lagoon at night.

Chip chip was clearly paying attention and seized his/her opportunity when it presented itself. One never knows when such a windfall will come along again! I'm sure he/she was wishing for bigger cheeks, or maybe pockets!
