NDW is a pain in my a$$. Seriously. We haven't had a week like this since I first joined! And Cobb was back on 2-3units. I am SO conflicted on what to do next. I just don't know.
Have I induced bounces with my R usage? I don't see him dropping too low or way too fast. That wouldn't really explain this morning's high either because he didn't get any R overnight.
I'm actually calling Cobb's get today. I looked at his SS and noticed his numbers started climbing about 2 weeks after the dental. It did coincide with the dip to 39. But all of that also coincided with the Covenia wearing off. I know, I know...don't yell at me about the Covenia. I wonder...if an infection could have developed. I looked as best as I could last night and didn't see anything. Then again, I know how bad it hurts when Cobb bites me. I'm not stupid.
So...talk to me about next steps. I would really rather not have to take a trip back to Columbia. It's about 4 hours away and a PITA with Matty in the backseat by myself. Add a cat into the mix? I might not make it back. We are going to Cola at the end of June, but I would hate for him to be this high, unexplained, for that long. Has anyone had a vet prescribe an AB over the phone? Anything you can recommend for a possible infection?
Cobb does not appear to be sick in anyway. His coat is awesome. And I combed him last night...NO DANDRUFF! I can't tell you the last time he didn't have dandruff back around his magic spot. The matter fur that he did have near his backside is almost all gone. If he would stay still for 5 minutes I could comb the rest of it out. His appetite is fine...not overly hungry, not not eating. He's peeing and pooping fine.
We did have to put a gate at the bottom of the stairs so he isn't coming down as much, so I haven't seen him groom, but like I said above, his fur feels glorious. And purring? I went to get a test and he purred all the way through it, so no problem there. He been loving, but not overly clingy.
There is nothing to suggest (I know cats hide it well) that Cobb is sick in anyway besides the FD/IAA/acro/whatever.
I am open to your (affordable) suggestions! Cobb will be 12 in two weeks.
